I'm in the experimental branch, and when CTRL+W'ing, I can't change the transmission or individual suspension parts on any vehicle?

click the top right button and hit part picker/chooser (WIP) and it'll have the menu you're looking for.

Thanks, I haven't played BeamNG for a while now so I haven't caught up with the new features.
One more thing, how do I edit the cars? I only see a cached.dts file for some.

    Jbeams and the engine.

Okay, I think I figured it out, I should edit the files in BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles\, right?
I suppose I can unpack the zips?

Are you going into the content file that contains the stock vehicles and all the jbeam things? Or just the vehicles folder? And fyi, the parts selector is broken for now
    ~edit~
You dont need to unpack them in a different folder, just edit them where they are. They dont need to be moved

I have a different issue now though - fairly weak engines seem to be pretty much powerless, a 110/135lbft engine in the pickup makes it barely go 30mph in first, even when 2wd.
EDIT: This appears to be some kind of transmission issue, as the truck is MUCH faster in 3rd and 4th gears?
The game is also broken due to the non working parts selectors, I actually expected the beta to be playable...

Its called experimental for a reason. Plus, we already have an entire thread dedicated to its brokenness. Generally vehicles go faster in higher gears, thats what they are there for.

It's a bug in the new experimental version of BeamNG.
    I have the same problem.

Stop bumping old/finished threads with useless/already established information.
