Use the 100kWh battery instead of the 8kWh battery. --- Post updated --- @CYCJoseph I hope this isn't abandoned. I still have a very long wishlist: 25.25m 4-axle biarticulated variants 34m 6-axle biarticulated variants 22m double-ended single articulated variant (2 axles in each part, think of both as front modules, such a bus could best be achieved with hub motors but front-engined ICE propulsion is not impossible either) 40m double-ended triarticulated variant (2 axles in each part, in a front-middle-middle-front formation, see above about 22m double ended bus) 18.75m 3-axle single articulated variant with slightly longer rear overhang Variants with central driving position, like in Tesla Semi Alternative electric battery chemistries, such as Lead Acid, NiMH, Sodium-Ion CNG, LPG, Hydrogen ICE and Fuel Cell variants Knightbus-like triple-decker variant Electric variants with hub motors in the front and middle axles Biarticulated double decker camper bus with 4 bedroooms (rear section, 2 back to back and one above another), a bathroom (lower deck, middle section), a conference room (upper deck, middle section), and a double-height living (in the front module) A double decker variant with the fuel tank/fuel cell/battery bank between two decks (unrealistic, but easily doable, would involve slightly lowering the lower deck ceiling to accomodate inter-deck space for the tanks/banks) Even more engine options (including, Gavril D series 5.8 V8 engine aka Ford Windsor V8, ETK 6D 120 ie Mercedes OM457, CM D95-6 aka Liebherr D95-6, 13.6l 4 cylinder opposed-piston 2-stroke engine (derivative of Cummins-Achates ACE)) Ultralight bodies made out of carbon&glass fibre (similar to Ebusco 3.0, Dancer LR530 and King Long XMQ6000 series; necessary to have the biarticulated double deck under the 44 ton limit)
yes it can: https://wiki.beamng.com/EnergyStorage.html#:~:text=Three fuel types are defined, and is drained by electricMotors.
I meant about the battery chemistry types he talked about. I doubt that BeamNG can support batteries with different chemistries right now.
Yes, implicitly in terms of volumetric energy density (maximum capacity is explicitly defined, so is the battery geometry)
Great mod! I only had a problem that when I use it for bus routes the hybrid version of the Gigatransit works fine, but the electric version has too small boundaries to park in which makes it impossible to continue. It would be cool if you could fix that!
CYCJoseph I readded the string for the gauges.json file and the bus works but now it has the Wentward DT40L bus engine sound. Is this normal? What do I need to fix?
Hi,excellent bus. One small problem is that on some configs, like the "Single Deck 12m" and the "Double Deck 10.5m" config, the adaptive brake lights won't be triggered reliably in a high speed emergency brake. I tried increasing the brake torque in the brake.jbeam, and it seems to fixed the problem.Maybe the brake torque isn't enough to trigger the ABS reliably? By the way is there any chance to get the BeamNG's air brake simulation system added to this bus in the future?
Never saw that bug myself. Then again, I've been away from BeamNG lately. And no, this bus doesn't need airbrakes. The Wentward got clunkier to use when it got them.
Hello! I love this vehicle a lot, but I have a question, Is it just me or after updating to 0.33 the bus plays the sound effect of when you lift it (shift+g) in loop? Even when I just spawn it, the sound plays in a infinite loop and without doing anything but only spawn it, I disabled all the mods and didn't fix it, any fix? Or just wait for an update of the mod, or the game? Thanks.
hello, i really like this bus mod it is one of best buses in beamng but there is somethink missing , double articulated bus , i dont know how to do the second articulation if someone can help write me
This is definitely the best bus mod in Beamng Is that possible to make a bi-articulated or tri-articulated version for this bus?
Perfect mod and drives insanely smooth on wheel i dont know of any other mods that drive as smooth as this bus does. One big problem tho. I'm not sure if its just me or something but there is a very annoying hissing sound coming from the bus, Specifically the side doors. if i remove them the hissing stops and if i add them back it comes back. idk why this happens. Could be just me but idk but as of rn this hissing makes it impossible to drive because of how annoying it is.
That's the sound that I refer to, is the same sound when you lift the bus. But crazy that it comes from the doors.
