The world editor is pretty easy now. After the update the UI was massively improved and the layout of everything makes sense. It's not too difficult to learn anymore and it's pretty easy to locate everything. Also I'm not sure but I really can't imagine planes being added to the game by devs. Idk why I just can't imagine they'd do that. Tanks? Yea, probably because those are ground vehicles but I don't think they ever intended to add planes, and the flight mechanics would need to be changed a lot. Also, they've said they're not adding actual people into the cars. That would be grotesque and quite visceral for BeamNG. Some devs have said on a number of occasions they wouldn't risk adding humans or gore. I also wouldn't hold my breath for guns, I don't know why you would want them. It's a driving game. Furthermore if you want guns you can already get them. There's a mod that adds functional "guns" into the game.
And this entire thread is the exact reason why you have to be 16 to join this site. I'm surprised you didn't say add Skidibi Toilet.
If BeamNG adds humans in the cars I'm taking a break for a few months. Plus, crashing into humans would make the age rating go up probably. And it's a CAR GAME. Humans would ruin it. Let's just stick with dummies, dummies being added officially would be cool Also the world editor is simple enough. Yeah, it could be improved but practice makes perfect, if people like Crash Frontier can make amazing map edits and others can make new maps, it's fine
I do make maps. Anyone who says, the world editor is fine, never made a project with it. But there is no alternative. The World Editor actually is a chaos construction site. Crashing is not special. Rendering komplete projects into trash by corrupting random files on save is not special. The fact that you can make maps somehow, is bacause the users love to make maps and know it's in alpha state and have plenty of tricks, knowledge and workarounds to go with it. So if you like to hear what I like to see in 1.0 is that all the great funktions are finally debugged so as World-, Object- and Vehicle Editors are working and are not mockup showrooms for themselves. A complete documentation for the WE is missing as well. I am looking forward to it and meanwhile do love BeamNG with all the crazy bugs as it is. Everything is getting better on update by update... I would hate to see: More arcade trends Any kind of destructable dolls or avatars! And I would love to see cars like: Citroën DS (cause of the special suspension) Mercedes Unimog (cause of the ability to twist) More trucks in general. Oh, the wish list could be long... Nice day and happy gaming
Ooookay... Well, I applaud your enthusiasm, but I think it's time we talked about a concept in project management called "scope." Basically, the bigger a game is—the more content, features, modes of gameplay, world size, etc—the bigger the game's scope is. Ideally, you want the game's scope as small as possible. This makes the game more likely to succeed financially, and more likely to attract and keep a core audience. Too many features (crafting menu, dating app, astronomical simulation) risk bogging the project's development down, slowing performance, making the game unintuitive to play, and make advertising the game/finding an audience much harder. That said, one of the best things about BeamNG is that it has a burgeoning mod community, full of people who make all kinds of content for the game. This includes guns, airplanes, trains, boats, motorcycles etc. The developers may not be interested in adding these things, but fortunately they don't need to be in order for you to experience them.
This. Most of the things that guy mentioned simply don't need to be added by devs because of the modding community. We already have tanks, trains, planes, guns, dummies/humans, everything he asked for in the game thanks to the modding community. There'd be no point in adding anything he asked for at all because the game's core audience isn't going to welcome things like humans and gore, or a new player model with guns like Call of Duty, or planes with open arms. The game's community at large would better benefit from additions that don't alienate people, and are desired by the community in general. I'm sure we could all make a big wishlist of things we'd like to see but realistically the way updates are now are likely the way it's going to continue all the way to release.
Don't forget the Citroën Xantia, wich has both the Hydractive II and the Active suspension. Perhaps also the 2cv and other models on the Platform , for their unique longitudinal suspensions, and some Renaults for their different wheelbases left and right
