Hello everyone, I'm looking for guidance on creating static objects in the BeamNG World Editor. I've reviewed the official documentation and watched several tutorials on YouTube, but I'm still struggling to grasp the process. Could someone please provide a step-by-step explanation of how to create and place static objects in the World Editor? Any help or advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance! Examples: A container that is attached to a point in space (and therefore does not experience gravity) PS: the game is paused here...
Use the World Editor. Just Click f11 Then You are Done! Also i dont think this is for posting threads.
Hi, only prefabs (3D meshes) aren't affected by gravity. If you want to do something like in your picture, search for something similar on Gridmap (or Italy if you manage to find one), take it and move it where you want. Then press Ctrl+F7 to rebuild collision, and you're ready!
an easier version also is just press ctrl in normal mode click on one of the green dots on your object drag it to another object that you want to attach it to put the green dot over the other object and the dot will turn blue then press the scroll wheel and it will lock them to gether
Hi In the World Editor [F11] open the Menu/Window/Asset Browser. Find a static object of your like. Drag it from the Asset Browser into your map. These objects are all static and rigid even if they are animated. Only what counts is their material affecting on the car (e.g. wood, asphalt or shock absorber). You can make them with no collision at all if you like. You can import objects from other maps, which is more easy with AlexKidd71's Tool. In the World Editor it is not possible to "create" new objects. This can be made in Blender for example. Exiting the World Editor automatically updates the collision data. Hope this helps you.
