Mod making's an art, so when two artists apply their talents to the depiction of the same subject you get two different results. I'm still looking forward to this one coming out, it's been looking nice up to now at least.
I appreciate the sentiment, it helps me stay motivated lol @LucasBE is not sketchy, or a jerk... but I do have opinions on paid mods........................... I appreciate that too, and stay tuned lol. I've got a somewhat-slow week ahead, so maybe I can crank out some progress. I'll try to anyway. The "Barstow IV" that I mentioned looking nice... Another reason to continue on this mod that you just made me realize; His is a '98-'04, this one is '94-'98 so they don't totally overlap.
well, its a popular modder and he doesnt use sketchy sites. this mod will be a "better one" per say because its free and has the actual name.
i absolutly love the sn95 mustang. i was SOOOO close to getting a 96 cobra convertible as my first car, but sadly i was $500 short
OKAY BOYZ. I'm officially breaking down and asking for help. I just plain do not have the time to do the texturing part of this mod. I can knock .jbeam stuff out and make real progress in an hour or so, but in that same hour I can accomplish basically nothing in texturing this thing. That's because I'm not really good at the texturing side and I don't have the time to pour into learning how to be good. If I stick to .Jbeams and hand the texturing off to someone who knows what they're doing, this mod can get finished MUCH faster. What it needs: - UV Unwrapping by someone who knows how to make it less ugly lol: The model pretty much needs all its UVs re-un-wrapped because there's a whole bunch of "artifacting." Basically if you open the model in the UV editor in Blender there's a bunch of nodes that just stretch off into infinity and they can't be moved because it moves other parts of the UV that I don't want moved. These cause all kinds of weird errors on the texture. It's a side-effect from when I combined the materials for the body and skin into one material using separate UV maps, but I re-un-wrapped it myself already and made it worse. - Texture baking by someone who knows how to make it look less ugly: Once the UVs are done lol - Textures made by someone who knows how to make textures lolol (Diffuse, emmisives, normals, etc.): I want to learn how to do this, but I flat don't have time at this point in my life. lol ripbozo - Probably more but I can't think of what... What I want: - Vanilla BeamNG-style UVs with a "skin-able" UV layed over them so the look and quality are close-ish to vanilla BeamNG vehicles (I'll never complain about MORE detail as long as it looks passable lol). - Someone who's done texturing, ideally for BeamNG already and isn't just winging it... like me... lol - Someone who's doing this for the "passion," in short, I don't want to pay someone to do it lol (cuz I'm not getting paid, lol ripbozo again) Once I have one or more volunteers I'll post the .DAE here along with all the textures I've already got and then once whoever-it-is is done with it, post it back on this thread and I'll work on the .Jbeam-side in the meantime and hopefully we can figure out how to compile both halves into a passable mod. If anyone's got suggestions on who should do this or how, I'm open. I don't really like using discord and apparently that's a big turn-off for modders here...? I'd prefer to just keep everything on this forum thread, but that's just me, and if I'm not the one making the textures I don't really think it's fair that I should dictate HOW they're done lol... Basically Jesus forum-goers take the wheel Save me plz
there is a new mod in development as a gavril barstow.its mark 4 terminator one and has cabrio configs.
I would like to help , but I have no experience what so ever . So I just wish you luck finding volunteer's
I don't think he did man, bummer --- Post updated --- Although props to him for going to the lengths he did. Modding to this caliber is no easy task.
