I believe that this topic has been talked about like 56 times before this, but I think we should really start thinking about this more

Many people have been talking about how low and mid range setups might struggle or perform badly in BeamNG (I'd like to mention that I'm not speaking for everyone, someone's mid range setup may perform worse or better) and I've seen this kind of, for lack of a better word, trend. Going on.

It feels like the devs are starting to move away from the people with lower end setups, in favor of those who can afford a right proper gaming rig, which is starting to strain the lower end medium. (In my opinion)

I think that some of you may remember a change, where in the "Performance" tab in the settings, the RAM minimum requirements have been bumped up in an update from 8GB to 16GB. And some of you may say that 16 Gigs of RAM is now the new standard, and I may agree on that, but can some of us AFFORD 16 Gigs? Everyone's situation is different, I get it. But I genuinely can't afford 32 Gigs of RAM for the recommended amount.

So, to combat this kind of bias I'm seeing here, I propose a more performance focused fix in the new update or even a small patch alongside the update to address this.

Code optimizations, mesh and texture improvements, and whatever other fancy words one might use to describe performance fixes.
Some of us want this, and some of us need this.

    No, I can't afford a i9-9900k, I'm stuck with an i7.

And I think that a lot of people have also seen the decline of the game's performance over the coming months and years. I used to be able to run 6+ traffic on WCUSA in 0.27 I think, but now I can't even spawn three cars without dropping below 55 fps on average.

Sorry if I seem critical in this post and a little obnoxious, I also struggle to write a lot about a certain topic. (English isn't my first language) Please let me know if I don't make any sense in some of these points

I get where you're coming from but I think the nature of BeamNG is that it will always be intensive to run and the requirements may indeed go up from where the are.

The increased RAM requirement may have come from the PBR lighting they added.

This "game" (simulator is a better word) simulates every component of a car and doing that NEEDS a lot of horsepower. It's also worth noting that your performance will drop with every mod you install.

My two cents; it'd be nice to have more frames but really you just need to lower your settings, mod count or expectations. It's a heavy game.
