Possibly. Even the newer ones will need tons of work to bring them up to my current standards. Lore wise they also don't make sense to me anymore as they aren't even remotely close looking to the covet nor is it accurate enough to be a good replica of an E90 Corolla. I've been thinking about changing it to be badged as a first generation Hirochi Sunburst which I think would be more lore appropriate. My taste in cars has also kinda changed since then and while I'm not saying that this project isn't something I like anymore, I'd rather focus on just building something new that I'd like more. I'm currently trying to focus on getting one project finished before starting work on others so I haven't really done anything with the covet/GS Series, VX series, and the Sprinter in a long time. So yes it probably will happen but not for a bit
Oh. Do you think you could make a toyota hiace inspired Hirochi? The chassis may be a bit hard to make tho.
I'd say probably not. While it's a vehicle I like and consider to be kinda cool I am honestly not too interested in putting around how long it's taken for me to make the Tempesta into a Japanese van which I have limited knowledge on. I do not mean for this to sound rude or stuck up but I'd rather create something that I would desire to own and drive irl.
Hello to everyone that has been following this recently. I would like to apologize for the lack of progress over the last 18 days. To keep things short I've just been incredibly busy and too worn out to work on the Tempesta lately due to real life stuff that has gotten in the way. Progress will resume either tomorrow if I'm feeling better or on Monday.
The basic components of the Tempesta's rear suspension are nearly finished. The spindles and upper control arms are almost complete with there being just a few more details I need to add to them. The lower control arm and parts of the frame have also been readjusted again. I'm trying something new with the exterior involving changing the shape of the trim near the windows on the sides of the car. This involved removing the smaller quarter windows and remaking the trim in this area again. The goal is to make it look less like the Pantera and perhaps give it a much more generic yet still 70's-80's Italian supercar inspired look. I will probably make the opening into a bigger window with possibly a smaller vent towards the back.
Hello again everyone. About 2 months after my last post here I accidently stabbed my right hand with a screwdriver while working on a old drill I had bought with intentions on restoring. This is the first serious injury I've ever gotten so while physically I am now ok and have since almost fully healed, this has left me a fair bit mentally scarred. I was very demotivated by this and I haven't touched a single project of mine since this happened. I've been trying my best to get over this in the past few weeks and I've decided to get back to doing this once again. Work was done to the Tempesta prior to me getting injured however I don't currently have any pics because I want to finish these parts beforehand. The trim for the rear quarter window is completely finished, all that remains is to do the glass and to then make it look nice again on the inside. I have once again decided to mess with the rear end design. It's currently about 70% complete and I am genuinely pretty happy with how it's turning out. I also did some more work to the custom chassis however it's still somewhat far from completion. This is all for now and I hope to be posting some progress here again by sometime next week
Getting closer to completing the rear end however trying to figure out how to design the taillights is proving to be more difficult than I had anticipated so currently that's going to be the main thing holding up progress here. Haven't done much since the last post cause I've been kinda busy in the last few weeks and the free time I did have was taken up by other things. I really hope to have the rear end completed by next week however given the current state of my life I'd say that realistically It'll probably take me another week to get that done at the most. Here's some pics of what the rear currently looks like as well as the new almost complete quarter window:
Hello everyone, it's been a pretty long week hasn't it? I have been quite busy irl so it's been hard to find time or motivation to work on this but I'm determined to finish what I've started. The rear end design has been almost completed, I just need to work on badging and some smaller details. The rear suspension and chassis have been slightly altered and adjusted for half shaft/driveshaft clearances and to have more realistic proportions. The rear upper control arms are now complete and connected to the uprights/spindle with a ball joint, which means that all that's left for the rear suspension is to model the ARB and it's mounting points as well as the coilovers and their mounting points. Here's some pics and I can't really promise when I'll be posting another update here but I will try my best to make more progress soon.
