The receiver hitch with the ball hitch attachment feel like it's made out of a cheap steel that's hallow it bends a lot with a 2000kg trailer causing it to feel unstable. Making gooseneck's way more stable because of their strength and also being directly over the rear wheels. But making bumper pulls seem very unsafe no matter what you do, you shouldn't need a dually to haul a small 22ft trailer to compensate for the fishtailing. Even lighter loads you can see and feel the hitch bend while driving and start to fish tail or cause jitter upon vehicle movement. Making the trailer feel like it has more of a higher priority to what it does to your vehicle as it can make it feel like it's constantly working against you and not gripping the ground properly

The way couplers work could use some work on how it connects and behaves. this shouldn't be connected and it's attached like if the ball isn't there like a fine point of contact

What i believe would help with towing trailers is having more receiver and attachment options such as classes of receiver hitches and balls

"There are five classes of Hitches for towing trailers. The vehicle towing capacity of your vehicle determines what it can be used for. Smaller cars and SUVs can only handle smaller loads and probably will use a Class I hitch. Large trucks and vans are built for larger loads and can use a Class III, IV or V hitch."

These parts are crafted out of hardened steel and should not bend like this unless a sharp excessive force (trailer getting rear ended) for it to even begin to bend. It's solid metal. The trailer hitch tongue could use some attention as it also suffers the same issue.

Adjustable tow hitches and stronger gear would improve the experience a lot. It's quite dated and something we might need for future trailers such as 28~ foot box trailer's and dump trailer. Car haulers (The solid flatbed frames) and possibly a larger RV trailer when it comes time which will definitely need a higher class of tow hitch due to the weight

I would also like to see more variants of the tow hitch. A normal car (at least the european ones) doesn't have a steel bar like in game. It should rather look like this

by havng more hitches id would basically complicate how they work already, since not all trailers would be compatible with all hitches, even if not the most realistic, i feel that keeping it like how it is is just a better idea

except the game is focused on the simulation and realism aspect, so it would make sense to have proper variety there, besides you already have the gooseneck trailers.

yeah i know, but theres a certain threshold to that, otherwise wed have pointless time wasters like modeled engine internals and shit like that, the effort to make 2 types of tow hitch for the trailer and vehicle just just not worth it specially since they are similar enough.

except it doesn't seem overly complex, unlike texturing and modeling working engine internals.
