Okay, I've just updated the DAE file and the main materials file to include the new chrome texture, is there anything else I might need to also update? The new file has been added to the first post of the first page. If it doesn't work, please let me know. Now noticing, this bug is especially strange considering that I've uploaded the same old file to my other forum, "Possibly the new best old Cadillac mod?" and no one has posted anything about the chrome textures not working.
Nope, still not working. I loaded it up as the only mod, fresh run of the game, still the same issue.
This is awesome. A few notes: - the chrome seems a bit too dull, dark, gray...I think it should be shinier, but it's up to you - the hubs are wobbling around, something is displaced - the convertible version has jbeam nodes on the roof, what's up with that? - the interior seems like uniform colors, no actual materials/textures. Will there be an update for this? Also, Miller-Meteor demo when? I'd love to drive the beaut.
It's coming along amazingly, my only real nitpick is the front wheels are set a bit too far backwards, and the rears too far forward. I think the whole wheelbase is just too small lol
Alright, I'll just redo the chrome to its original state. I do want to keep the darker chrome for at least the rusty variants because shiny chrome looks weird on a rusty car. So I'll work on that separately. 1. Fixing that right now. 2. That might be a game problem, because the hubcaps (and almost every other component on the wheels) are not a part of the modded mesh. 3. That's because the jbeam is the bluebuck jbeam. And the bluebuck jbeam does not have an in-game convertible version. However, this may actually be fixed in the future 4. There may be an update, but that's not my main focus right now so black is currently the only color available for the interior. 5. The Miller-Meteor demo is in the new update, just redownload the mod file on the first post of the first page (give it a couple of minutes though, I'm posting this before I've updated it). Keep in mind that it is a demo as of now, so the interior is a WIP and only some of the outside components look pretty. But other than that, it looks nice. --- Post updated --- It's definitely a little bit smaller than I'd like as well, but it saves a whole lot of time modding it. --- Post updated --- She's Back! Look At Her Smile! Chrome errors been fixed, the new file's out on the first post of the first page.
It's as simple as putting in a couple of nodemoves for the front/rear suspension jbeams and adjusting the track width default if I'm not mistaken
Thanks for the great 50s car mod. Could you please make the front bumper lenses white? Cars of this era shouldn't have amber lenses yet.
ANOTHER very small UPDATE (Yes, I know, I should just update it all at once) -Meteor-Miller front left and rear right door chrome trim textures fixed. -Meteor-Miller front dash gap fixed. Just redownload the file in the first post of the first page, and that should fix it.
I believe I fixed that in the last update. If you have downloaded the current file and it’s still doing that, please notify me. In other words, try redownloading the new file on the first post of the first page. --- Post updated --- Not exactly, but there’s a step by step guide on the first post of the first page that basically tells you how to make/configure it yourself. I know it’s cheap, but I was taking a little break from modding and it was the best working idea I had at the time. --- Post updated --- Along with the necessary light bar file. I advise you to delete the original mod if you already have it, as that could mess some stuff up and the modified file does all the same stuff with the addition of the Cadillac light bar. Not made to be a better competitor, just to make it usable for my mod.
