On a wide note - How does everyone like the LM? Thoughts? I've made it handle as best as I could despite the insane Power to Weight ratio it has. How are you guys doing taming it? I've worked my hardest on this project for about a year now, I want people to use this mod. You guys wanna thank me? Enjoy every part of this mod you can. Also, obviously please don't reupload it to Those sites. They add malicious stuff sometimes to the links you have to click on. Sometimes they alter the zip file as well and then you get wonky things. If you guys make edits and want to share, please message me and I'll gladly add it to the next version with you in the credits if I like what you did. Thank you everyone. --- Post updated --- For legal purposes, yes. I still think this would be considered fair use, but I don't want to take chances.
Can you make like custom mods/configs? Such as custom wheels, clamshells, nose and tail cones and body kits
I am not a modeler. I don't have money to pay a modeler. I cannot even find someone to pay to fix the atrocious collision model, let alone hoping for someone to offer up help for free. No, there is not an aftermarket bodykit/rim selection planned. This is supposed to be a fun mod focused on what the game is supposed to be - a racing sim. I think this mod does that very well. I am happy with the mod as it sits currently. It looks good, and it doesn't have any game breaking issues that I know of. I dunno if I will release another update with more features. I cannot do this alone, and people don't seem to wanna help in a partner capacity. It is just me. I show Alex stuff that I am working on for the mod, and they make some suggestions, but that is about all they can do. I think I am happy. I have been working on this for about a year - alone. I have an IRL job, and I did this in my free time for free. I think the mod is in a good place.
HAHAA you quoted wrong reply LOL. Thank you I needed that. I get the one meant to reply to. Edit: My bad. Now you can laugh at my mistake. Have a good one HAHAHA.
Yeah, try not to turn so tight. --- Post updated --- Just for other's that might have this issue: Please read the entire post with the new .zip. I said in big letters that you need to delete the old version OR change the folder name inside the NEW version's .zip. Example Old version zip path vehicles\J58 Example for a new folder name inside the .zip for new version: Vehicles\J58_v3 Or just do what I say and delete the old version that is not as good anyway. I await his answer, but I bet he forgot to delete the old version.
Go to a different map besides grid map. Maybe it is the lighting? What you took pictures of before was one side is shiny and, in the light, and the other is in the shadow of the "sun". Post a video of you going around in a circle on a different map to demonstrate? I've never heard of "black wheels" as a bug. I've never had this issue, and I think you are confusing it with the difference in lighting due to the metallic nature of the rims. Edit: Go to the showroom map by doing what I told NuclearFaker to do. Tell me if this makes the "black wheels" go away. If it does, what you are experiencing is the natural lighting inside beamNG. There is nothing I can do about that, because that is how the game is. --- Post updated --- Try going to "showroom map" by checking the box in the freeroam map screen, "include auxiliary debug maps" on the bottom right. It will allow for the showroom map to pop up. Then manually load in the LM variant and it should fix the material issue. It is a bug, for some reason, I get missing material error randomly(orance color, not yellow), so I do what I mentioned above, and it will fix it. Then the rest of my play session is fine. I dunno what causes it. Maybe this is what you are getting.
it got fixed, thanks a lot, the showroom thing did work --- Post updated --- btw this is a demonstartion of the black wheel bug, must be and issue with the chrome texture. As you see in the vid the sun is shining directly in the wheel, yet it reamins black
I've never had this issue. I cannot recreate it, because I don't get that issue. the only texture related issue I get is the material errors from time to time. I dunno how to fix something that isn't repeatable to me. Is there something you have to do for it to happen? Maybe it's a video driver thing? what launcher are you using? Vulcan or regular? What is your video card/driver version? --- Post updated --- What how is it repeated and what is your launcher version? Vulcan or regular? What is you video card? I've never seen the black rim thing ever in my hours of testing. My video card is an MSI RX 580 8GB I dunno if that is something I can fix. It might be something on y'all's end. Edit: I am uploading a hotfix V 3.1. I found some syntax errors in the main.materials.json file. Might be what is causing the material/texture errors. Hopefully this is it, because if this doesn't fix it, I have no idea what the issue is.
@Werft hin @NuclearFaker try the new hotfix. Just updated the post on page 6 for the hotfix. See if that fixes your issues. It fixed mine. --- Post updated --- Delete the old .zip, too.
Thank you so much for the fix it worked really well, finally a good ferrari f40 mod in beamng. and by the way why dont you release the mod on the repo?
