Time Trial hotlapping app dont register laps/checkpoints

When using time trial, hotlapping app doesn't register laps/checkpoints

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start time trial with any car/level combination.
2. Complete few valid laps.
3. Notice the issue.

Observed result:
Hotlapping app doesnt register laps/checkpoints in time trial mode.

Expected Result:
Hotlapping app register laps and checkpoints in time trial mode.

Notes:
Issue doesn't occur in Career mode races, laps and checkpoints are correctly registered, but in time trial mode, first lap just keeps going, but on leaderbord during selecting level, times from those laps keeps updating.

Attached screenshot is from session with mods, but issue also occurs with safe mode. After 2 laps it still shows as lap 1. If requested, video will be provided.

 

I have the same issue but only with certain maps midfield raceway to name one off the top of my head

 

update:

Freeroam races that use time trial app also work correctly, registering laps/checkpoints.
