Is that some new phrase I'm not with the times enough to understand?

Anyways if you want a Great Value Volvo in Beam go make it yourself.

Just leave those suggestions to someone else, will you? He's not interested in making them.

I was messing around with the T-Series when I came up with a few suggestions:

    Screenshot2024-08-28163428.png

    1. I feel like the T60 front could fit the vanilla T-Series engine, but with 2 less cylinders. So instead of a 14.7L Inline-6, it'd be a 9.8L Inline-4. (IDK how would that realistically work, but yeah.)
    2. I saw a stubby dump truck on my way back from college and thought we could use a similar dump upfit where the fifth wheel would be. (Not high-priority, take your time if you feel like making it.)
    3. Yes, the T60 Twinsteer fenders still collide with the exhaust stacks. Any luck working on that?

You may have also noticed I brought a JBEAM file with this post. I did the same thing I did with the T60, but for the TC60. (Also, the T60 shouldn't be able to equip non-T60 exhaust stacks.)

The repo says this mod has recently reached version 0.52, but apart from the new hood, what else changed? A few bugs I saw still persist:
    1. The T60 front frames can equip non-T60 exhausts even though it can't equip larger engines.
    2. The Slant Hood Radiator has a name typo: it's named "Slanted hood Radiator", with the "Hood" section not properly capitalized.
    3. The "Grille" part on the T60 hood draws the entire hood instead of just the grille.

I feel like fixing these things should be a priority. I'm getting tired of having to unpack and pack the mod every time it updates just to fix that.

    1. That'd be a lot of work for just another diesel 4-cylinder. Also IRL Diesel 4 cylinders are only commonly made up to ~6.5 liters displacement due to how imbalanced they are compared to an inline-6
    2. Not interested in making more dump upfits until it is possible to make actual dirt/gravel loads for them
    3. Been too busy to remodel it
    4. It can equip the generator exhaust but that's just a different version of the T-60 exhaust
    5. Oh no now could I forget that literally unplayable bug.:p

    6. That is a compromise to allow for colorable grills without remodeling whole hood.

Hey mate, great work with the latest update! I noticed you said you gotta move some files to make the Segra v8 work with the T-Series. I tried looking around in the zip file of both your mod and the Segra and I'm not too sure what files need to be moved. Would you mind explaining what I have to do?

    1. In the BeamNG in-game mod menu select the mod and press 'unpack'
    2. Find the mod folder in your user files.
    3. You'll see a folder inside named 'efc_Segra_V8'. Move the folder into vehicles/us_semi.
    4. 'Pack' the mod in the in-game menu and enjoy.

We shouldn't have to resort to such intensive tricks IMO. Especially if you can't afford to buy the Segra or don't feel it's worth the cost ($5 for an incomplete mod, anyone?).

Maybe contact the author of that mod to see if they can let you directly implement their engine into the T-Series? Or maybe make do with a choppy V8 model as a placeholder mesh while you work on giving it a proper one (I have Engine Simulator, I might be able to make a V8 there).

This is as far as work on the V8 is going to go. This was just fairly quick and dirty way for me to try a V8 in the T-series until one is added officially.

Oh, okay. I recently got my ES V8 build done though, it took me 15-20 minutes to build from a starting template even though I'm no professional.

I based it on the Caterpillar 3208 10.4L V8 and got it as close as I physically could to the real thing... and it turned out quite janky, really. It does 825 LB-FT of torque and 382 HP at 2500 RPM with no turbo (ES V0.1.14a doesn't support forced induction yet).

Just telling you I've got it ready so you can get audio, in case you change your mind and decide to make a T-Series V8 yourself.

    Hi all,

I've recently started playing the RLS Career mode including the RLS Collections mod, the collections mod is a gathering of different mods which include the T-Series Drivetrain Expansion and I truly love the work you've done.

I order to stay up to date with different updates on these mods I instead decided to subscribe in game to each of the "Career Collection" mods individually and deactivate/delete the "Career Collection mod". However after I do this, this mod doesn't seem to work.

I disabled all mods except for this one and go into garage and select the T-series, I see no twin-steer, no TriDrive, no additional engines, etc.
Going into explorer into the mod and I only see EFC_Segra_V8. Whereas the Career Collection shows a full list (EFC TwinStick, EFC TriDrive, etc.).

Am I doing something wrong? I even deleted the entire 0.32 folder, then added only this mod but it makes no difference.
Would love some help with this, thanks.

I doubt he has that much time...
    --- Post updated ---
I wish we could have the Oldstyle Hood's grille customized. It feels odd to not be able to change it.

I've been receiving some other reports and it seems like the mod files got corrupted somehow in the upload with the latest update. I'll post mod mod here which should hopefully work better until I can update the repo
