I would be totally fine if that stuff came later down the road after a couple of "normal" car updates, but the general theme of updates has been about the same since 2023, and I'm getting kinda tired of it,(of course, trying to defend myself at this point is like trying to stop a mile-long freight train with half a Prius...) Who knows, maybe they just made the teaser to screw with us, and that's the only offroading content. Even if it is still crammed with offroading stuff, I'm still looking forward to it.
The devs always (90% of time) make offroad and race configs of new vehicles / variants when they can. I dont see how that is a problem, or anything new. They probably used the offroad config in the teaser cuz it looks cool. Its just frequency illusion aka Baader–Meinhof phenomenon.
Why are people complaining about more offroad content coming with the new truck when it'll most likely be 2 or 3 offroad configs among dozens of road-going variants. I don't get it
I'm excited to haul rocks and stuff with the new truck. It's more of a heavy duty hauling and towing update than a offroad update
I mean... is it really? (Disclaimer: I love the an trucking off-road content, this post is supposed to be funny.)
just because they showed a medium duty truck with off road parts doesn't mean its an off-road update there are several uses for a medium duty frame. this seams more of a utility vehicle update. also the teaser video implies that there gonna be some street racing fun with the t series. theres also street racing parts coming to existing cars.
Okay, I get what you're saying and it makes perfect sense from a fan's perspective—variety is the spice of life and all that. But from a game dev standpoint, it would make far more sense to continue the unfinished work on an in-development vehicle rather than shelve it for some indefinite future update. Especially since the person who primarily worked on the T-series remaster might not even be working for BeamNG by the time remaster parts 2&3 roll around, leaving somebody else to pick up the pieces. And not to put too fine a point on it, but of the 4 updates we've had since the start of 2023, we've got a pretty solid split between offroad and non-offroad content. Even aside from the T-Series remaster, we have the BX Series remaster, the modern ETK refreshes, the Lansdale, and the ATT remaster.
Yeees! Cars like these are great for some empty B-roads! Small, light on their feet, very agile and some of them are fairly quick and zippy too! I happen to proudly own a Peugeot 107 myself and, when I first bought it, I got pleasantly surprised by how much oomph it has on the first 3 gears because of its lightweight! The Mitsubishi i (which either had a 660cc turbocharged I3 or a 1-liter I3, depending on the market - the i-MiEV was just the electric version of the car) is also a great candidate since it's an RR platform, like the Smart ForTwo (and the 2015 Renault Twingo and Smart ForFour)! And Hirochi's 0.9 I3 was designed to work with a turbocharger as well, so some mildly hot or even scalding hot variants can be supported too (think of the VW Up! GTi, with the 1.0, 115hp turbocharged I3)! Cherrier's 1.2 I3 can also be used as is, with the turbocharger! The 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage is ok but it's also a bit boring to look at and really drabby inside. Too much dark plastic. City cars are supposed to look funky and happy and this just doesn't cut it for me. The Peugeot 107 came directly to my mind because it can form the basis for the French-Japanese collaboration of two BeamNG car brands (Hirochi and Cherrier), since the real car was a joint venture between Toyota and Groupe PSA. Plus, as I already said, I'm a proud owner of a 107, so it would be quite the honour for me to see an equivalent in BeamNG! But abusing it is another matter. I wouldn't take seeing it being abused. Abusing the Covet is just fine for me, thank you!
my take on this. I cant wait! I will love a Duel cab box truck, Witch we cant get ATM with the D45, on top of this, YES i love pre 1980 cars and i think we need a pre war car yes. BUT, AS much as am not overly into 4x4 stuff. EVEN the little Aurata has a race version. Witch is very fun, like beamngs little CVT go cart. Then we have the little Sunburst and Bastion. Not off roading cars at all >YET they have a off road version. SO as said, They showed us a off road version. does not mean its a off roading vehicle NOW the real thing i wanna ask/think is this, WILL it be shoved into the D-series sport ( least we can mix/match parts ) witch i think will be the case. or its own all new vehicle slot. ? ( i.e D-series with its versions then Gavril MD series ) So i say let the devs cook. AND try not to worry if the content is not what you like. AS we do not want to give the awesome devs burnout dealing with us fighting And not being happy with more Off road stuff ( i don't think its a off road update at all ) AND if you hate off roading content. Then see how long it takes to destroy it, ramm it with the D-series or T-series. jump it off the cliff, So yeah lots of awesome fun things we can do with content we may not be overly into. Anyway this is my 2 cents sorry about spelling lol
Since it has a different frame, I'm guessing it will be in it's own vehicle slot. The Roamer was also once under the D-Series slot, but eventually got its own slot.
You know how the T-Series frame was split into two parts, and now people are suspecting that the same will be done with this new vehicle? Well it would be good if they did the same thing to the D-Series, as there are too many frame options
that is actually an interesting point, while I don't expect them to re-conjambulate all of the regular pickup frames, and all the various driveshaft and exhaust slots just for the sake of it, but if this "D55" is getting a crew cab version, it would make sense if they also added a crew cab to the existing D45 variant.
I wonder if the last Labourer update brings us a new truck/Semi Truck. Why ? To have similar experience like with Civetta, to be able to get to a career point where you have new Semi/Truck. This would be a Labourer career cherry on pie for me.
I really really hope we can tie down cars on a trailer. I hate how you just gotta hope the car doesn’t slide off when turning at 5 mph.
I meant mostly the main feature/theme was different for a while, while the t-series remaster or any other "background" work continued as normal. But I see your point.
that would make the update 4 months late then they usual 3 months I know the update is delayed but since its been four months that would make the update 3 months later than it already is --- Post updated --- so I hope not
