The road and intersection building tool looks pretty neat, I wonder if it will include options for an angular-offset in the intersection (such as when two roads do not meet at 90 degrees but closer to 60 degrees) (it might have shown up in the toolbar for the video but It was rather blurry and I couldn't make it out if it did, either way very cool system)
Some really neat auto-generative features here (and I know you see the one now): Really interested in what all of the features will allow you to do and how much it'll add to the quality of repository maps
If the world editor is going to be refreshed/redone, plz fix that annoying bug where I can't save the goddamn clouds in the scene tree hrrrghfrrrghrffgrhhggrggg I've literally halted all progress on my WIP map because of that and it's tHe LAsT fEATURE AAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGG
I can help with a bandaid fix while we wait for the release. It's likely your clouds are parented to MissionCleanup, which means they'll be deleted when closing the level. To work around this, create the clouds through the last submenu of the Create Object tool. There will be a dropdown where you can pick the thing you wanna add. Then, click Create and it'll be persistent. (Bold text included for legibility)
Yes, the clouds are parented to MissionCleanup. Thanks for the advice! I'll be trying this out when I get home.
Trying to make out if theres potential for the road tool actually generating pedestrian crossings too
Nice, an easy way to make the true American dream: 12 lane surface streets with wide lanes and barely usable sidewalks!
I genuinely want a map like that, set in Michigan, with interstates and D*troit too. Vast roads, empty streets, perfect for chases
'actually worth something' as if you pay for it and as if the previous 2 haven't. It's just supposed to show you what's been up and some community content, which it does, so I'm happy with it
I never said I paid for it. It's mostly inbox space that it "costs". I never knew there was a "previous 2" either.
For me, everything is up to what mr. Thomas have said in the v0.33 thread. Decal roads, or even the world editor, isn't something an average user has fun with, so from the map developer perspective, it's a huge change. From an average player's perspective however, it actually will not be a huge update.
Please let's be reasonable, the emails are around 0.2 mb of text each. If that's too much for your inbox, it's best that you either unsubscribe, or delete them after reading.
