Guys, what's your opinion on Test Drive Solar Crown? Is it worth to buy or not?

Hello everyone! I made a thread for my fellow emergency vehicles enthusiastics and another for cats!

    If anyone is interested :)
    --- Post updated ---
There's this youtuber named AR12Gaming who did a review about it. I didn't watched the video entirely, but he said that the game is online and there's often connection problems with the servers

Yeah maybe I should buy and try it to see if it's worth it. I don't play multiplayer in racing games (besides BeamMP and the Crew 2) a lot. But yeah, some reviewers are just giving this 4/10 or less. I have been playing TDU 2 a lot, so why not give it a try for myself to see if it actually is good. I just hope that this game isn't a big disappointment.

It's bad from what I've heard and it's not worth it. Always online DRM and constant connection problems, microtransactions (on a full-priced game, no less!), season passes, outdated car models reused from TDU2 (nothing bad in itself, but why?), and the list goes on.
TDU is much better than Solar Crown at this point.

I guess I just won't buy it then. Shame that they ruined Test Drive :(

    Literally general question:
I am thinking of installing ATS on my PC somewhere, I don’t have that much space left so if by any chance I don’t enjoy it that’d be a huge waste of PC storage. (I have already got the game for a really good deal with the 2023 summer sale end I think. The game went on sale for just 2$.)
I already really enjoy ETS2 and do play it quite often, so….
    Should I do it?

If you buy it on steam, you can get a refund if you havent played more than 2 hours.

So you can actually test it. If it dont work, you can get a refund from steam (if you havent played it more than 2 hours and ofc bought it from steam) :)

I got Beam in November-December of 2021, right after 0.24 Pt. 1 came out.

@RealVector Hey, I found this video of someone reviewing the Iberia DLC in ETS2. You should give it a watch, their channel is super underated. In fact, I've never heard of them until now!

Thanks for the recommendation, Iberia is definitely one of my favourite DLCs in ETS2 but IMO some motorways lack rest areas, so be careful with your rest times!

Heh... I bought Beam in 2018. The first quarter of 2018 is the most exact I can remember of the date I bought it. No, I didn't pirate it either. This was the date I first bought BeamNG, officially from the Steam store.

Before that, however... well, I'll admit I was looking for a free, pirated version to download to my computer ever since I started getting invested in Beam, especially since back then I didn't have any money at all, and had to ask my parents to get permission to do stuff (I was 11 or so). Unfortunately, all that I could find during those days of a free pirated """copy""" of BeamNG was a supposedly claimed Tech Demo v2 version, contained as a single file... I think that's what it was? Anyways, when I downloaded it and tried to run it, it would pop up an error message saying something, I don't even remember that either... But it definitely meant that the "game" wasn't compatible with my software, something along the lines of "it's too outdated". I was massively disappointed and deleted the file from my computer afterwards, and never continued the search for a free pirated copy of BeamNG ever again...

... Until I finally bought the official one, I guess. Then I didn't really need to search for one anymore, why even pirate Beam when you have the ACTUAL THING BOIIIIIIIIZZZZ
