And for me, the game still won't launch on a Wayland session with 560 NVidia drivers. The Linux native version as well as the Windows vulkan one. But even as it currently does not work for me, I still want to thank you guys for developing a linux version at all

A handy trick for migrating the gamefiles automatically and the like is to symlink the beamng directory to .local/share.
    This is my config:
    Code:
    .local/share/BeamNG.drive -> /Games-SSD/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/284160/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/BeamNG.drive

We are aware of this problem, sometimes it works when you are lucky enough :(
I will try to check and compare with Windows, I use Logitech wheel though.
You need to install drivers for ffb on Logitech wheels. I use this https://github.com/berarma/new-lg4ff and https://github.com/berarma/oversteer
I cannot reproduce this problem, I'm testing game on Wayland with Nvidia on Ubuntu 24.04 and game works normally here.

Yesterday I tried on XFCE and it worked fine, but today I'm trying Gnome (Wayland) and the screen starts flickering if it goes beyond 80fps or so. Any fix for this? my screen has 144Hz.

Just for giggles I went back a few kernel versions as well. 6.7 was still hard locking when loading the ETK Driver map. I'm sure the amdgpu folks would love to know what's triggering this one!

Are you passing the SDL_VIDEODRIVER=x11 env var when starting it? I can't get it to start in sway without that, but it works fine with it using xwayland.

Hello, i noticed that there's a new bug with the simplified parked vehicles, as it greatly affects ffb

    My specs:
    Gigabyte X670 Aorus Elite AX
    Ryzen 5 7600
    2x32GB Crucial Pro DDR5-5600mHz RAM
1TB M.2 SSD (Forget which model)
    500GB SATA SSD (PNY)
    EVGA GTX 1080 ti SC2
Corsair HX1200i (Don't question the choice in PSU, I'm planning on upgrading to 5000 series NVIDIA and 9000 series AMD once x3d releases)
Debian 12 Bookworm / Debian 13 Trixie (I didn't update any packages when upgrading beamng)

At 1:00 is a bug to where changing parked cars amount results in slightly delayed ffb

At 1:50 is a bug to where there is majorly delayed ffb (By a second to a minute of delay)

Jup, tried that. Didn't help. But thank you anyway.

Car_Killer, may I ask which version of the nvidia driver you are using?

Yeah it's stil not working with wayland on 560 drivers either. Get a window then it does a crash report and that's it. The native linux client that is. I can still play through vulkan

Well, that would be totally fine for me. Did you use any custom config to get the windows vulkan version to launch? Any Command Line arguments or custom Proton versions?

Yeah I have this issue, amdgpu/plasma/wayland looks fine at 60 fps but 80 or more it starts to flicker, monitor is 100Hz, vsync on or off makes no difference.

Yes, can confirm that on 550 driver the game launches fine both on native linux as well as the Windows Vulkan version with proton on my system. It does not, however, work on newer versions of the driver, at least for me. Curiously, nvidia added support for Explicit Sync in 555, maybe that has something to do with it? Dunno, not an expert at all

Alright so here's the flickering problems I've been having since July in video format for you guys. Like I mentioned in my previous post (Linux Port – Feedback, Known Issues, and FAQ) when I cap my FPS it reduces the flickering but it doesn't go away and as you can see in the video it increases and decreases depending on where my camera looks.

Vsync doesn't help, full screen doesn't help, but for some reason minimizing the window reduces the flickering. This bug really confuses me.

and here's some details about my system and environment:

    OS: Arch Linux (Kernal 6.10.10)
    CPU: Ryzen 7 2700
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 570 (8 GB)
    RAM: 16 GB DDR4
    DE: KDE Plasma 6.1.5

This is the name and version of the arch linux package that's installed for drivers for my AMD card: `xf86-video-amdgpu 23.0.0-2`

If there's anymore information you require please let me know, I am happy to help.

Am I the only one with the issue where the game keeps reloading settings any time you open the graphics tab? Also seems to do it on seemingly unrelated settings, like vehicle preheating settings.
