title says it all, I think career mode would be a lot more... I don't, alive? Maybe it's just the way the AI drive but I feel like the day scale option from the environment category would be a great implementation into career mode. could also just add the entire tab altogether instead of just the day scale but I think it would definitely improve it.
Agreed, maybe like a 10:1 ratio of real time. Just enough that time passes, and you can drive at night, but not so much that its dark by the time you drove from the quarry to the refinery. I've seen a mod out there that adds lights to west coast, maybe they could eventually incorporate street-lights into it. I wouldn't complain if they first released it with no lights, since cars have headlights and brights
Definitely needed in career mode, I used to play on the server called CaRP on BeamMP which had this and it was a lot of fun when we could barely see anything when doing deliveries.
So, I did some research. If you go into west coast USA, either free mode or career, and open up world editor (f11 on your keyboard), you can change this with zero experience. I've created step by step instructions with pictures to help. -Up on the top, under the windows tab, you'll find something called scene tree and inspector, click on both. -Two new windows will open with a search bar on the scene tree one. Type in 'tod' into the bar, and you'll see it pop up, click on it. -The inspector window should now populate with information. On the inspector window, look for the day scale and night scale boxes. -You can change these to your preference, I personally have dayscale = 1.00 and nightscale = 5.00. -Near the scale adjustments should be a box you can check off that says 'play,' this will activate the rolling timescale. -Once you've changed these, in the top left, click file, and save level, then exit editor. The game will recognize you've changed the level and will use this from now on instead of the base game west coast. Now you can load up career, turn on the game clock UI App, and you can follow the clock as the day changes around you. FYI - there's no functional streetlights in west coast, which sucks, but you really need a high-power pc to run all the lights. BEWARE: When you clear the cache it may reset the world editor changes you've made. If you play with the world editor enough, you can modify the map to your liking. Personally, I've made shortcuts for deliveries.
