That was broken since 0.27. Or longer it was at that time I noticed. This map was falling apart on us for a while. Still good though
Found a bit of an issue in the first swamp lake: I was cruising around in my aamphibious wigeon, when suddenly, i came to a segment of the lake where the water appeared to forget what it was, and i dropped to the bottom. my engine also did not hydrolock
Still one of my favourite maps, though it is starting to show its age.I wish it got a remaster. My buddy and spent some time a few months ago levelling out some nasty bumps in the high mountain road and removing some trees and stones from the asphalt. That was just before the release the map got with the junkyard. I have no idea about map making in general so I can't say how hard it would be and how long it would take to update it.
I played on this map for a bit the last two days. The fix to AI paths is visible. You can chase the AI(wheel menu order "flee") for quite some time. However, I did find that the AI still thinks the overpass in the desert is an intersection. They like to take a 90-degree turn right in a wall, as well as try to jump down through a barrier on the highway from the overpass, next to the yellow wheat fields. Also, the road that goes through a small lake. I don't know what they are doing there. But they aim for the lake, not the road. You put them on the road and they get lost, trying to drown themselves.

Yes, the high mountain pass is one of the most enjoyable roads on any BeamNG map. Probably my most driven road in the entire game, so nice to cruise
Couldn't someone make some fan patches or a fan remaster and just post it here in this thread maybe? And if it gets approved by the mod creator it could potentially overwrite the repo version.
Well I meant remastering the materials and textures and stuff. This is one of my favorite maps but, hooh boy, do the textures need redoing heh. I don't know if the mod author plans on remastering the textures himself or if someone else might be able to.
Why are basically all the rocks only rotated so that they're still flat on the bottom, parralel to the ground grid?Most if not all of the rocks look like they never rolled down a hill and came to rest where they are. They all have flat bottoms that aren't aligned with whatever sloped hill they're "resting on" and look very |floaty." Can you not rotate them like you can vehicles in World Editor? It's a huge map, good work! But this just looks silly.
It's an old map, you can't really expect much. It might've even been different early but then got broken by a game update. You should be thankful it still works at all nowadays. Regardless, it's not as silly as your passive-aggressive attitude. If it bothers you then fix it yourself, or are you just a little lazy?
I like how he edited his post to make it seem less mean, but it's alright, I still had it saved and quoted.
Not sure how dead this mod is now, but a rework in the road system would be nice to see as 0.33 had escalated in that.
