I had no idea any of the above cars came in so many body styles. It would be great to see a good variety for the Miramar, especially since a few of those are really unique, but aside from racing builds and the Bluebuck* it would be unprecedented to get more than one additional body style. Not saying it's impossible (the I-Series and Moonhawk both will really need more IMO), just that it isn't something that I would expect currently. *I don't count the Bluebuck in this conversation because of how similar the body styles are One of the issues for me is that the Miramar, like many of the cars from that era of the game, has really weird proportions and IMO a bit of an identity crisis. I'd love to see it get a lot of attention as far as that goes. The post-remaster Covet and post 0.14 SBR look a lot better than their original versions, but the Miramar and Barstow are both still in need of some attention.
Everyone’s forgetting about the sunburst. I understand that the classic cars are customizable and all but the sunburst doesn’t even have a breakable oil pan and it pretty much has a bootleg interior. Just my opinion, take this with a grain of salt.
To my knowledge, if you include 0.24.1 as part of 0.24, then that was the major update with the most remasters ('96 Pessima, Bolide, and H-Series). If you include new vehicles as well, the Bastion brings 0.24 in line with 0.27, which also introduced 4 new vehicles.
There is a mod that adds the Miramar ute, hatchback and convertible. Developers even have to start adding convertible variants to old cars like the Bolide
Now that we're past 0.33 which was supposed to clean up the code, do we know what's next regarding the game's abilities? What can we now expect that wasn't doable before?
I'm pretty positive that they will bring the towing missions at the very least for 0.34 . They have activated / integrated the nodes grabbing system in Career ( veeeeeery useful for things like I don't know ... connecting a car to a towing flatbed or a winch maybe ?? ) . The Career progression menu still says " coming soon " but I think that it's coming next update , to give us more Career content . Some people also found out some " tow truck " parts in the MD Series game files ...
On the topic of body styles, recent updates have shown a trend for adding more configs/vehicles that are related to their real-life bases. We got the Wigeon, the Bolide Corse, the MR Covet, and the Diana just to name a few. So what are some other examples of related vehicles that could be listed? The Wendover is largely based on the GM E-Body, so a "sporty" cabriolet in the vein of the Buick Reatta is a theoretical possibility. Various mods that add a Gen 1 Pessima coupe and/or pop up headlights, so there's clearly a desire for those. The Piccolina has Baja configs that can have almost nothing in common with the factory model, so what about a beach buggy? The possibilities are endless. What are some other ideas that expand on the cars currently in game?
i wish that they carry on with the remaster of a vehicle and a completely new vehicle similar to the remastered vehicle such as the pigeon and wigeon / legran and wendover.
One thing I didn't mention in my previous post is implementation of features related to real-life counterparts that work with what we already have. With the recent addition of realistic hydraulic/air simulation, it isn't out of the question for it to be added to the Roamer and Wendover, considering their counterparts had them optioned. The lineage of the 'Marshal' nameplate between the Bluebuck and Grand Marshal means wood-panelled station wagon body styles could have a lineage of its own.
I may have overdosed on hopium as I type this, but I'd love to see more to-spec motorsports configs in addition to the 2009/10 WRC Sunburst, GT4 K-Series, DTM I-Series, WTCC '96 Pessima, TCR Vivace, JGP Miramar, and Gr. 4 + Gr. 5 Bolide (possibly including vanilla adaptations of the GT3 Scintilla, GT3 K-Series, and Wendover stock car). New configs could range from a JGTC-era GT300 Diana and a Dajiban-style H-Series to (definitely reaching here as these would require different chassis and radically altered bodywork) a GT300 Sunburst, a GT500 SBR4, and a Bastion stock car. And yes, I know the Piccolina already has a bunch of tube frame builds in the form of the buggies, but something more in line with those bike-powered hillclimb cars would help scratch that itch for sure: Feel free to disregard this post, I won't take it personally.
I am glad they fixed the Miramar foglight issue in the new hotfix. I love how the Miramar looks with them!
I mean, if the image was taken on the Eastern Side, then it would make sense that it would be greyscale. --- Post updated --- Yeah, I would use the Sunburst more if it didn't look like an outdated mod from 2017
