RULES. No trolling. No harassing other people. No dark jokes. this place is meant to talk about when you bought the game. Also last rule no off topic.
i got it gifted to me on march 22nd 2016 by one of my old friends when i was going through a rough time in my life. been playing ever since my all time fav game
Christmas 2016 is when i got a real pc and bought the game. I was playing the game at 15 fps on a horrendous pc before then tho around the beginning of 2015. could only run grid map
I think it was sometime around Christmas of 2015 when I got the game originally. The copy I have now I got in 2019 on a new steam account.
I bought the game in December 2019. I've seen plenty of videos of this game before buying it. I've made this forum account in early 2023, though.
i do remember buying the game in late 2013. i made a account in 2012 and forgot to save it in 2022 when i deleted it. And now i forgot about this place. Also my account was hidden.
I got the tech demo as soon as it went public. I also bought 4 gift copies last year, and I bought 4 copies this year.
My case is a bit weird despite me being part of the dev team now. I first played the game via the friends game sharing thing on Steam, it was at some point in 2018, before the Piccolina and Italy map were in game. Then at some point in 2019, my brother bought it on his Steam account, I didn't have my own account at the time and used his, got around 1000 hours in it on that, he barely played it himself. I made my own account in early 2020 and used the game sharing feature again to play it. Then my brother gifted the game to me in August 2020 because game sharing doesn't work when you and the friend you are sharing it with want to play at the same time. So I technically never bought it with my own Steam money but I still always played it legally, if I wasn't gifted the game I would have definitely bought it soon after as it quickly became my favorite when I started modding it in late 2020. I have over 6000 hours now, not counting actually working on the game which would add roughly another 1000 (if having the game open in the background while making Jbeam and refreshing every few minutes to see if things work counts, if not then like half of that or less lol). Most of the casual 6000 playing hours would be modding. I also definitely have lots of hours watching it on YouTube but that's another topic.
i bought the game april 5th on my birthday when i got my laptop it could barely run the game but it was fun it wasn't to long after that the best car the wendover was added to the game
I remember in 2014 seeing a short gameplay of BeamNG on Cliff, it was my brother who was playing it. I rediscovered it and started playing it in 2018 in 0.12. At the end of 2022 in 0.27, I bought the game on Steam and accumulated 827 hours of play without counting BeamMP and the 4 years spent on a crack (that must be more than 1000 hours).
I bought it before it was on Steam... I think it was September 2013. I've been on board since Rigs of Rods 0.31 was releasing in 2010.
