I also heard somewhere that someone found a hidden file called “schoolbus” under the MD-series. An MD based school bus would be awesome, since the platform is right for it (as are real world equivalents). The different frame lengths could support different length bodies. --- Post updated --- Also found this unusual looking body. 1987 Superior/Ford B700 according to the video (Looks a lot like the Wentward’s body doesn’t it?)
Yes! I love this car, it's one of my favorites from beamng but the developers don't care about it, they haven't received new versions since 2020, nor have they remodeled its interior, which has gotten to the point where people say that its interior is horrible, in fact, really the and guys are not wrong. I hope the developers listen to us and remaster this car because this beast deserves it
I was browsing in in-game files and found this: "name":"cargoDelivery_dropoff_operaHouse_1", "name":"cargoDelivery_dropoff_trainDepot_1", Do we have Opera house and Train Depo in Belasco ?
This is the Opera House And it's likely that one of these types of buildings is being referred to as a "train depo". (even thought they are supposed to be for the for the trolley cars, and the elevated light-rail line has no such buildings itself)
Looking in the MD's drivetrain jbeam, it seems all the "pneumatics/airbrakes" controller logic is contained in the brakes themselves for the front, and in a subpart called "rear brake valve" for the rear, so this suggests to me that they're accommodating for hydraulic brake variants. and because real american schoolbuses are made to be driven by "people" without a commercial license (i.e. teenagers whacked out on monster energy drink), they usually have hydraulic brakes rather than pneumatic brakes.
Here in Canada you need a commercial licence to drive a school bus --- Post updated --- All the school buses in production right now have pneumatic brakes,
Personally I would love to see more convertible options. I'm not sure why there aren't more (I'm including in that the Hopper and both Civetta). I personally would love to see like a Bluebuck convertible or a K-series convertible. Apart of that it's not really a config, but more quirky engine configurations. Like wenkel engines, engine swaps, etc. Apart of that I'm not sure
I think having more vanilla engines in different configurations (or at least more unique engine sound banks) would help a lot with modding, since (until AES3D releases at least) sourcing engine sounds tends to be a major pain in the ass unless you just nab 'em from another game (in addition to said sounds not being compatible with dynamic exhaust muffling). I think a redux of the old unused V12 and modern flatplane V8 sounds in addition to a smoother, more "Japanese"-sounding V6 or I6 would help round out some of the more common engine layouts.
I agree and i disagree with you ! Ill explain : mm a professionnal driver ( i have a commercial / heavy truck ) driver's license here in Canada ( Class 1 License here in the Quebec province , allowing me to drive pretty much anything with wheels ) and you're right on the fact that you need a professional license to drive a school bus ( Class 2 here in Qc ) BUT all the school buses i drove were equipped with hydraulic brakes , just like a standard car and NOT pneumatic / air brakes like a semi does ! Maybe they differ where you are located !
