no it really couldnt the frontal armor on a tiger 2 is sloped at..... well here's the diagram from the wiki page below. the pershing had a good gun but it was fast. its best bet was for itself was to get behind the tiger. although the pershing had only like 5mm of armor lol. the rear of the tiger 2 had 80mm of armor sloped so i don't even think it could penetrate that. on top of that the pershing didnt get an upgrade until the korean war to a 90mm gun. shortly thereafter they decommisioned it in favor of the m60 patton.
