Hello and welcome! I've been working on a project in Automation for the last past days, and I wanted to make sure that I could ease into releasing it instead of immediately posting it and becoming a total flop. So, to prevent that from happening (or at least calm it down) and/or remove any future problems, I wanted to create a forum dedicated to improving and informing you on this massive (to me) project. To sum it up for you, so there is no confusion, I am making a collection of cars that were made in the 1950's that I personally think represent each and almost every popular American car brand to feature in this mod. Some you may or may not disagree with, but only a small percentage of the cars are picked at "random" you could say, to increase variety and uniqueness in every single one. Here is a list of some cars that will be featured: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 1959 Cadillac Coupe Deville 1958 Buick Century 1958 Oldsmobile 98 1960 Plymouth Belvedere-under special exception 1956 Lincoln Premiere 1958 Pontiac Bonneville 1959 Desoto Fireflite 1957 Packard Clipper 1957 Ford Thunderbird 1957 Mercury Montclair 1953 Hudson Hornet 1958 Edsel Ranger 1956 Chrystler Imperial 1957 Dodge Coronet If you've noticed that some of the cars listed are in red text, that means they are already done. And done meaning they've been created, have an engine, and can successfully be transferred over BeamNG Drive to play with. Some bugs are needed to be fixed until a release, so they are not "technically done". As a sneak peek for this upcoming vehicle pack, have a look at some of the beautiful cars that have been created with much hard work and dedication. '57 Chevy '57 Mercury '58 Buick '59 Cadillac '60 Plymouth So, these are some of the cars I've made so far, and I'd like to ask anyone whose reading this a few questions. For example, how does it look so far? Was there something that you liked specifically? Was there anything that you didn't see? Is there something you don't like? Do you have any recommendations to make it better, or am I going on the right track? Any features that you think should be included? Anyway, that's all for now. I'll try to make these as fast as I can so people don't think I've given up on the project, but quality over quantity, you know? I hope you have learned something from this informational post, and really, if you do have any recommendations for vehicles, models, or even styles you'd like to see some of these cars in, I'm always open to suggestions. (P.S. This is my first time making a forum, so please don't be mad if I've placed it in the wrong type of forum, made it too long, or accidently broken a rule.)
Nice work! I'd love to drive around in these when it comes out as a mod! I've been looking for more 50s car mods!
UPDATE: Almost all the cars are ready to upload! Those that are not, are the ones I'm deciding if I should change their model type. But here's a group photo in the mean time And I just thought that I should clarify that the vehicles won't be coming with interiors in the first versions. Maybe sometime in the future, but not right off the bat. However, I'm thinking of making a sequel pack that had a bunch of custom and ute configs, such as taxis, police cars, wagons, convertibles, coupes and hearses.
