Hey everyone, So I have been mia for a few weeks, but haven't stopped coming up with things I promise . Have been working on a method of converting ROR files for beamng, through modifying (updating the code) on an existing script called truck2jbeam, along with the blender ogre mesh importer addon. Just going to post some pictures for the moment of this (fully working) monorail I have recently converted. I would post the mod now as it does indeed work pretty well, however I am in the process of trying to contact the creator on ROR forums first to ensure usage permissions. Though as I have no plans of making this a paid mod, I don't imagine there being an issue (but better safe then sorry). For those interested the conversion was done from this, and I think actually came out pretty nicely. So hopefully I will be able to get in contact with this dev, otherwise I may just attribute him and just go with it (doesnt look like the have been active for many years, so I highly doubt they are going to care or even think about that project again). Well see .... Assuming that works out, I plan to make a map to go with it as well. The ROR version has an entire airport, highway, monorail station, curved tracks, a controllable switching/moving track, and a bunch more. Anywhooo here is a quick peek at my progress: --- Post updated --- also another note if for some reason the creator has an issue with using this, I already have a backup monorail 3D file in the works w/ track that I could build from scratch (though this will/would probably end up taking a lot longer as I will have to find the time to work on it, and it is very much in preliminary stages at the moment)

The good thing though regardless, is the method I am using will work for basically any ROR vehicle (.plane/.boat/.train/.truck/.trailer/etc). so if people have requests I can look into bascially anything. I'm sure there are plenty of ROR creators who won't mind sharing. One of the reasons I'm not planning to make any paid mods w/ this method. glad you are excited anyhow !
**update** So I think I found the creator and a way to contact them (hopefully). I've sent him a message and so we'll just wait and see what happens I guess :-¦ . Also if people really like the idea of having a monorail be sure to let me know in the comments because if enough people really like the idea and want it to happen I'll just make one from scratch like I was saying before --- Post updated --- **update 2** So the person I contacted turns out to be the person who created the map itself but not the assets. In terms of the map they are on board w/ the conversion (yay!), however they don't know who made the other assets and from what it looks like to me their activity on Rigs of rods was years ago. You literally can't even download the monorail without getting it through a posted archive of the old Rigs of rods repo (just a sense how old the file ultimately is). But anyways I asked that individual if they could try and see if they could find out who it was and ask them, but good news otherwise is I'm planning on just posting it in a few days if I'm not able to find out who even made the Assets in the first place. , if that's the case I'll just post it and provide credit as best as I can for those items and if anyone ever claims it and wants me to take it down I'll just do so without any problems hopefully . **update 3** Adding the tracks! Figured out a way to import it from the coordinates, converting it to items.info.json.
