    Re: 1968 Chevy Nova

That's one of the problems I've found after deciding to go ahead with this model, is that the dimensions are not quite right. Is more narrow than in real life. It would take a lot of modifications to fix it (not just scaling the 3D mesh).
I won't bother with that, as I consider this one my test mule, so the final result won't be perfect but acceptable.

With all the work I'm putting on this one, I can take on a more professional approach for my next project.

Btw, will post an update tomorrow maybe, been working on fixing a lot of bugs and improving other bits.

Thanks, handling and crashing improved a lot since I've re-worked the whole front jbeams. Not just the suspension parts but also the fenders, grille, hood and bumper.

Added new 427 engine, a simple old model that I've had laying around, it looks good as it is.

I'll keep working on the rear now, needs some stuff fixed.

Thanks, there will definitely be more mods made by me in the future, the last game I was passionate about was Carmageddon 2, now Reincarnation will probably take it's place when it's finally released, but BeamNG for me is kind of my playground now. I enjoy messing around with car physics, tuning engines, suspension, tires, etc. and crashing of course!

Just updated the OP with the new version 0.4b, lots of improvements but still more to come.

The 427 setup is a real tire eater with the Firestone Wide Ovals (default). It gets easier to handle with the Grand Prix radials, though if you enjoy drifting, then the WO are your choice.

Using manual gears is recommended for both setups, as I haven't included an automatic gearbox yet.

Always delete the old version, then install the new one. Is it fixed now? it's working fine here on the stable release.

Lol, quality pictures for a problem like this :D

But he said it works in stable, checked if it works? I bet you´re using Experimental, as the most of us do.

To cbrider, didnt commented on this mod:
Wow! Quality mod so far, also an really good pro modder!
Well done and you improved your skills very fast, go on!

I would say it doesnt work in experimental as he said it works fine in stable. Experimental breaks some mods, he made probably that much changes that experimental dont work with this mod anymore.

Hmmm if that's the case then, I'll go ahead and install the experimental version.

Uploaded a new file, just in case:

    http://www.beamng.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=50008&stc=1&d=1420814374

I've tested this one by uninstalling / installing several times and shows up OK on the stable version. I'll try the experimental now.

    Re: 1968 Chevy Nova - UPDATE 0.4b - 01/08/15

Something changed in the experimental version, in regards of naming, for what I could find out. I'll have to go through the documentation to find out what the hell they've changed and why.

To fix the body parts missing issue, all I had to do is change the name in the 68nova_body.jbeam. The part was named "BODY" (uppercase), changed it to "body" and it shows up fine with the rest of the parts.

There's something strange going on that won't let me change tires either, when the front show up, the rear dissapears.

Another problem that showed up with experimental, is the materials. They won't load properly, and also, seems to be some kind of naming issue.

I'll have to dig into those to make it work with the latest experimental release, but it appears to be it's all a matter of naming and organization.

That's what a 7 liter V8 with over 400hp and thin tires should do, EAT THEM

I have no idea what the hell is wrong with the automatic transmission, I'll set up an auto 3-spd later to see if that fixes it (so far only 2 manuals loaded), though, auto trans are boring!

Ok, new 0.5 version is uploaded, it should work properly on experimental now. Make sure to follow the instructions first.
