    If you don't see floating markers where they're supposed to spawn you didn't install the mod correctly. Follow the troubleshooting guide on github.

    I was the reason the map got disabled. It was crashing when fast traveling and the intention of this game is not to fast travel. IMO some kind of live map is a quality of life item.

    Thanks for the awesome mod. One quick question - how do you top up your oil? I tried garage, gas station, repair shop - none of them would have it as an option.

    At the the gas station, get out of the car , you'll see the option to buy oil, after buying oil, get back into car, open drop down menu , go to items , and you can use the oil.

    não encontro o mapa de utah e west coast, tem que instalar algum outro arquivo? Itália aparece normal

    Hi r3eckon! I've installed your mod and I'm having a lot of fun with it! It's even better than the oficial career mode IMO! (only if the AI cars were more intelligent and challenging, but i guess that this would be really hard to implement). I'm considering to make a donation....
    With that being said, I have an small issue: I can't get into the endgame event, even though i meet all the requirements to participate. The game says that I still need to reach hero league in all race clubs. I've reached the hero league in the following race clubs:
    - Offroad Racing Club
    - Highway Race Club
    - Pure Drag Racing Club
    - High Stakes Drag Racing Club

    Is there any Racing Club that i'm missing or Is it a bug?

    That's just the race clubs for Utah, there's still East Coast, West Coast and Italy.

    Keep it for when it releases if you like the implementation, this project is a hobby to me so I don't want to feel forced to work on it. That being said it should be one of the next things I work on. The coming update will be smaller features, though it will add two new interactive areas as I reworked that system a bit to make it much easier for me to add more of them. The update after that should focus on content. I'll probably add track events on the west coast race track, the superspeedway from Motorsports Playground and career gameplay on Valocity.

    Does this mod work with the classic engine and ibishu expansion pack? It's personally broken for me

    I think others also had issues with the classic engine pack like it shows up in part buying but not part edit, idk about the other one. Try playing without these mods enabled and if everything works fine they're probably to blame. Which most likely means there's something weird about the jbeam data. The classic engine pack uses its own slot for engines which apparently doesn't work well with this mod. I will eventually take a look at this issue when I'm less busy with other stuff because issues caused by other mods aren't very high up on my priority list for now.

    Here's a video preview for update 1.17 which comes with a bunch of new features and improvements such as new interactive areas, seeded race club RNG, a new part inventory menu and improved track event part rewards.


    Car meets are a new type of interactive area where your car will be given a "coolness" score and compared to a random selection of vehicles. If your car has above an average score you gain rep, if you car has a below average score you lose rep. Having the best/worst car will double the rep change. This is basically a rep lottery for mid/late game as the random vehicle selection is silver and above performance class(C,B,A,S,X). Most of the score comes from raw performance value, however certain parts can increase your score. Such parts include spoilers, splitters, underglow, carbon fiber parts, paint designs and more. Basically, having a riced out car will improve your score relative to a vehicle that has the same performance but stock looks.

    Garage slots will now be limited by default, the starting amount being determined by the career difficulty setting. When you've filled up all slots in your garage you can no longer buy cars, participate in pink slips races or join track events with a car reward. Such track events will also reserve one free slot in your garage for the reward, essentially filling that slot temporarily. Limited slots can be turned off in the options menu, however this is the intended way to play the mod as it is more realistic than a garage with infinite space.

    To increase the amount of free slots in your garage, various "properties" scattered around each map can now be purchased. These are simple interactive areas where you can pay a certain amount of money to gain a certain amount of garage slots. More expensive properties will give more garage slots. Properties will not show up on maps and GPS, players must explore levels to find them.

    Race clubs now use seeded RNG for race parameters meaning it is no longer possible to reroll for pink slips, big wagers, easy opponents, low lap count, etc. Race parameters will only change after having completed a race in that club or by sleeping until the next day (which will lose some rep). This feature can also be turned off in options but it is once again the intended way to play as it prevents abusing the RNG.

    A new part inventory menu has been added. This menu shows all owned unused parts in your inventory, including parts for vehicles you no longer own. The main point of this menu is to allow selling off parts that do not show up in the part edit menu, for instance child parts of an engine which no longer show up in part edit menu after being removed. A note about the technical side of this feature: it requires the game to create and cache a full map of jbeam files, as the vanilla jbeam scripts only work on your current car. This process takes about a minute on my PC and must be done the first time you start the scenario. It will also be done automatically when you start the scenario if new mods are detected.

    Track event part rewards have been improved, the system now chooses a random part that fits your current vehicle within a set value range. Higher tier events will have higher max values for the part reward.

    Finally some smaller changes and improvements will be coming with this update, for instance daredevil challenges are now sorted by category making it possible to pick the type of challenge you want instead of having to reroll, a damage bypass option has been added to get out of soft lock situations caused by vehicles spawning with damage due to certain parts or tuning configurations and it should now be possible to swap the vehicle "main" part (ex: changing pickup frames).

    I have uninstalled all my mods exept Beam LR, and deep cleared cache a few times, but im met with this lua error: Screenshot2024-11-14192954.png I am also unable to equip parts onto my vehicle with this bug.
    im pretty sure it might be an issue with Beam LR, but i apologise if its an issue on my end.

    That script changed a bit in 0.33, I had already fixed it for next version. Replace the script userfolder\lua\ge\extensions\gameplay\drag\general.lua with the script in the zip file attached to this post. Unfortunately you can't edit parts because that car's config file is corrupted, reset your career and see if you can edit parts again. I notice the odometer and fuel values got reset, this usually happens if you edited your car with the game paused which as stated in the read before playing part of the github readme is something you should never do as it will break a bunch of stuff.

    No idea if that's what happened but it's a very common things for new players to do. There's no performance gain from pausing the game during part edits, the only reason it might feel faster is because things that should happen after the edit don't happen because the game is paused, and the next part edit uses the broken values and saves them to files.

    Classic engine pack works only if you add price to mod, change classic engine pack part from 0 to what ever shows for cheapest V8 engine that's also in vanilla then start buying parts and bx engine mod works fine just check if u got all the parts since these mods add parts that vanilla game does not have

    This actually made me check it out because if a 0 value was to blame it could affect non-mod parts. What I found is that this is not the issue, even if I set a vanilla part to a value of 0 it still works fine. Since I was already messing with this issue I kept looking for a bit in case the fix is simple, and turns out it is. The problem is that your car ends up with two slots that are both named "Engine". This pretty much never happens with vanilla parts but this mod for some reason makes you use the actual engine slot as a holder for the slot that uses the modded engines. Both of these are named "Engine" in jbeam which is set as the "description" field. If you change it from "Engine" to say "Classic Engine" it should show up.

    However that's actually problem with the slot sorting function. It works fine for like 99% of vanilla parts because the names are pretty much all unique for slots currently attached to a vehicle. I remembered license plates causing issues specifically with the Piccolina having one on the decklid and the rear bumper, but since that's a purely cosmetic part having a very specific problem potentially only for one car I didn't really bother looking into the issue back when I first noticed it. I fixed the sorting function to handle such cases and now both slots show up as expected:

    While I don't usually have the time to look into mod specific problems, I'm glad I decided to look into this one because the issue turned out to be something that affects more than just this specific mod. This fix should improve mod compatibility for other mods that cause vehicles to end up with slots that have the exact same name.

    Version 1.17 has been released, this version adds two new interactive areas (car meets and properties), limited garage slots, daily seeded race clubs and a new part inventory menu. It also comes with a bunch of fixes and QoL changes as mentioned in the post for the preview video for this update.

    Note that unless you're playing vanilla you will encounter the jbeam caching process on your first run of this update and this process may take over a minute depending on how many mods you have installed. There should be a message informing you that the process is happening, but in the event that it doesn't show up on your computer for some reason don't panic if the scenario takes longer than usual to start. This is a one time process (unless you install new mods afterwards) so next time you start the scenario will be as fast as it was before.

    Here's the full changelog:
    • Added Car Meets interactive area (car rated by "coolness", bad cars lose rep, good cars win rep)
    • Added + and - buttons to tuning UI sliders for more precise edits
    • Added daily seeded race clubs (more SLRR like progression, can't re-roll for pink slips & max wagers)
    • Added Damage Bypass Mode (used to get out of soft lock situations when safe mode doesn't help)
    • Added "Properties" interactive areas (gives extra garage slots when bought, many for sale on each map)
    • Added Part Inventory menu (shows all unused parts for all vehicles, can sell parts with removed parent)
    • Daredevil challenges now sorted by category (can pick challenge type)
    • Fixed tune apply not enabling AVB flag causing default parts to spawn (tune set reloads jbeam)
    • Disabled towing/sleeping while safe mode is active to prevent issues
    • Updated drag/general.lua script with 0.33.3 changes (fixes lua error with old script version)
    • Fixed lua error in performance class check node after entering trigger with "none" as triggerDataPath
    • Optimized IMGUI menu selection flowgraph (also makes it easier to add new interactive areas)
    • Garage slots are now limited & must be purchased (can be turned off in options)
    • Fixed Moonhawk ROH config blowing up at race start due to overtorque
    • Vehicle main part can now be swapped in part edit menu (ex: changing pickup frame type)
    • Lowered rep unlock requirement for class D track events
    • Improved track even part rewards (gives random part within set value range that fits current vehicle)
    • Game will now be force unpaused during part edits to prevent issues
    • Fixed part edit & buying menu layout breaking with slots name taking more than one line
    • Fixed part edit menu issue for slots that have exact same name
    As mentioned previously next major update will focus on content, specifically adding Valo City for career and a few track event levels like Motorsports Playground. If you have suggestions for track event levels feel free to post them. While career levels take quite a long time to make the track event levels aren't as time consuming which means I could add more than I'm currently planning for next update.

    Been playing Escape from Tarkov (SPT) single player with over 300 mods it's the beamng of FPS games. When I come back to BeamLr it's gonna feel SO GOOD !!!!
