In just about every game, movie, tv show, etc, that has spacecraft, even the most barebones, crap, cheapest, barely-flying, about-to-fall-apart, spacecraft have some sort of basic weaponry for self-defense. 1 basic machine gun is all I'm asking...
Seriously is it that bad to just ask? --- Post updated --- I'm sorry we dislike each other, but I still wanna shoot spaceships with another spaceship in Beam.NG.
Thanks for your interest! I 100% agree. Even if shooting (in games) is not my passion, a gun is a must have if you chase around the asteroids and might have to shoot your way out. Besides, I've personally never been to the dark side of the moon, so I have no idea what creatures await you there . But please don't be mad at me if I put guns at the end of the wish list as a gimmick until many other things work... I have a few more renderings - but work is focused on the Homerange map, so expect no progress for now . As you can see I have tried to make a design cross over between roadster, chopper bike, plane, rocket and fish. The data display was great photoshop fun and the HUD is displayed by a projector (beamer) and reflected from the windshield like the real thing. In BeamNG I will be forced to use some other technique to realize a HUD, though.
Have you noticed the badge on the front and the engine block? The ram just came to my mind and I implemented it that way. Maybe the name could be: "BSGT Aries Moonraker". BSGT: Holding (that's me, LOL), Brand: Aries, Type: Moonraker. How about it? I like the Blender cycles renderer very much, so I have to show two more pics. My old potato needs about 40 seconds for an image with full ray tracing, denoising, depth of field and glow pass. BeamNG will have to make it below a 1/40 second but that's a different theatre for sure .
Mouse connected to some kind of machine with a lunatic ticking Core I5 8400 trying to send some data to the dusty GTX1650. That all on 4/48GB of schizophrenic RAM . So if my work seems crazy, it was not me...
