Yes it does. --- Post updated --- Not quite. Maybe we would consider a Group C car based on Bolide Gr5 and this car in near future, which is a closed cockpit one, but now the main focus is on the current configuration.
After an afternoon of tweaking, we've imported the prototype V2 into the game, and it now has a V8 NA with 594hp and 12000 rpm.The downforce part is still being adjusted, here is the sound of its engine.
Ok this actually looks pretty dope. Will it be released on the repo? Ok, where the heck did luigi go and why was he replaced with a furry? --- Post updated --- At least I think it was luigi last...
This is looking incredible. Very nice attention to detail. Is the bodywork similar to the WSC ruleset, where it was 2-3 large pieces fixed onto the chassis on very few points (Which ended up costing the life of Sebastian Enjolras) or is it of a more solid nature (With more points where it is fixed to the chassis)? Is the ground visible through any of the ducts on top or on the side of the car? It would go a long way to be authentic as the 333SP was illegal according to IMSA WSC's regulations on Aerodynamics. It would be very cool to have a engine similar to the real car, not based on a production car. Although this was also illegal according to the IMSA WSC regulations, they still did it.. Until they put a derivative of the same decidedly not-production engine into the F50 road car a few years ago.
1.We would remain loyal to real-life design where the 333SP has its middle sector of bodywork firmly attached to chassis monocoque, and has the front and rear bits connected via a couple points of quick releases. I actually studied the design of Enjorlas' WM LM94 car and its predecessor 905 Spider, and I believe that his car had its one or two piece bodywork attached to chassis via only four or fewer points which definitely would cause structural failure, as the original design won't allow the car to go through mulsanne straight at such high speed. But if the 333SP seems to be fine with its design, then ours would be OK, especially considering such incidents won't happen in BeamNG. 2. If you refers to the rear bits of the front wheel arch, then it IS illegal. Our reference of this bit is the Sebring show car spec of 333SP in 1994, which was surely illegal, as IMSA mandated Ferrari to change the design. But we find this part of design especially COOOOOOL, so we decided to keep it, so maybe yes, illegal is illegal. Later we would make alternative front panels resembling later spec of the Ferrari, with the bodywork around the front wheel "fully cover the circumference above the axle centerline". 3.I reckon our car not to be a complete replica of 333SP, but our own product, especially in mechanical parts. As you can see, we opted to use the Civetta Group 4/5 engine, which follows the IMSA stock engine rules, is lore-accurate, and saves time and resource for us, as currently there's no V12 engine resource in game for us to refer if we build our bespoke motor.
If you only know Ferrari and V12 and don't know what we're doing, please play other Ferrari mods instead of our civetta.
