Welcome to Karlstad! Its a small map but totally fun! Take the big oval for some crazy fun slick races, or take the small inner track for a duel race, or 2 different routes! My first mod/port, please bear with me! Im going to try to do missions, please DM me if youre experienced with them I AM aware of small things, like the inner tracks being blocked, just know today was thanksgiving, and i just wanted to post this, it will be fixed tonight Same day update: Barriers have been removed from the small inner tracks. Traffic/Ai support on the main road but may be a little glitchy (nothing i can do about it =/ ) Lights will be the final update for this map, so before i do those please tell me other errors or suggestions to add I know the flags still have white boxes, and hitboxes, im working on fixing it FILE WILL ALWAYS BE THE MOST RECENT VER
Making AI race or Time trial is quite easy actually, first you just need to use Race/Path editor, hold shift and drag to add timing gate. Part that can get one bit lost is how to attach race path to actual time trial mission, one need to copy race path made earlier to correct folder, 001-yournewmission folder for example with name race.race.json, I did attach time trial for Loch Ard, you can see correct naming of folder and files from there. Image needs to be exact name at correct location and this too needs manual copying. Thing is everything is saved to %youruserfolder%\gameplay\ folder, those must not be copied to levels folder, but you need to add gameplay folder to your mod's zip file. For example if you drag gameplay folder from .zip I did attach to Loch Ard thread to your Loch Ard .zip file, it would work, but of course you might to create slightly more interesting missions as I did attach very simple and basic one. Also when making missions read info tips on all panels, it is fairly easy to figure out everything, just go trough all the tabs. You can ask from me if you get stuck, but it is fairly easy once figured out, first create race path with race path editor, then mission with mission editor, airace and time trial has their own mission types and has to be created separately, despite in race/path editor you create airace path and time trial path with same time.
The original creator didn´t know much about Rally special stages, though, obviously. Normally they run 2-up on the two inner loops, let´s call them Loop 1 and Loop 2. Loop 1 ends at the beginning of Loop 2 (that´s why there´s the crossing of lanes) and Loop 2 at the end of Loop 1, so both drivers do both loops and end up having driven exactly the same distance, side by side, maybe even after several such "laps". But because this is a port there´s not much you can do about it I guess?
