As for ARG, only thing that comes to mind is "A rally game", continuing the trend of rally in their messages. Maybe rally improvements for carreer mode (motorsport branch) or in general.

 

I wouldn't quite say they're being insanely quick - they usually drop their holiday updates between the 9th-21st, with many of those releasing on or before the 15th. I could absolutely see this update dropping on, say, the 11th-13th. The fastest we've gotten a holiday update in December was in 2021, when 0.24 dropped on the 2nd, but it's looking like that was a one-time thing.

 

Most of that leads me to believe we're getting pacenotes in the next update.

 

Oh, that would be very cool to see - I know that rally's a big thing that people love doing in Beam, so getting pacenotes would definitely appeal to the rally crowd.

 

Most likely this means the cars now have "real wheels" and not what we have now) remaster wheels? Or new features related to them?

The Italic letters say "orisit" ("Or Is It?") so I think it is a very real possibility.

The fact that dirtwheels has a dev label on the profile and the fact that he made the AI Pacenotes mod pretty much seals that.

 

Guys, remeber how they removed the Sunburst, FCV and Wendover from traffic? Two of the three cars mentioned are based off of cars that have a lot of rallying history/good contenders for rallying, that is of course the Vivace/Tograc and Sunburst. Just a theory though.

 

Are you trying to suggest that the FCV could get a remaster? I doubt that'd be the case, but I could see some more rally stuff for it this update.

A Sunburst remaster, on the other hand...that would be more likely. It hasn't been teased yet, but we have gotten extra vehicle content in a second update after the big holiday update in the past (0.5.1 (Burnside) in 2015, 0.18.3 (Hopper Crawler) in 2019, 0.24.1 (Bastion and Bolide remaster) in 2021). So, it wouldn't be too surprising if there were a second holiday update with a Sunburst remaster (especially with the big rally theme for this update), but I feel like that would've been teased earlier.

So, you're saying it'd be like the Hopper situation all over again? (Man, that was a wild time, especially on April Fools' Day. I don't think I've ever seen the forums so excited for an update before or since - I think 0.27 was the closest we got to Hopper Hype 2.)

 

Possibly for an FCV content addition or some slight revamps. Despite it not seeming that old, it's been in game since 2020, almost 4 years now, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it get a little something, especially if theres a rally based sunburst remaster

 

I can't wait to put more parts into my customized Miramar configuration! As of now, it has the foglights and the custom sport seats.
