Yes but considering they just added a whole new vehicle 2 months ago, it's insane how fast we get new content

 

Rally stuff would be awesome, DiRT Rally 2.0 takes up over 100gb so I never have it installed, would love to have all that stuff in BeamNG

I mean they're implying stuff by spelling out words with the fonts so it's hard not to speculate.
Until they spell something completely nonsensical

 

ARG also means “alternate reality game” so they could possibly be making us go on a wild goose chase to figure it out or they’re just messing with us.

 

Even if they just messing with us, Either way its a good thing. As it means ( i think ) they are NOT burned out, least i hope. A happy dev team is a GREAT thing for everyone

This is my first time checking on this thread since 0.33, what has been uncovered so far? I assume the update will be out within a month or two and that's when I start watching this thread

 

There's been a good chunk of dev activity in the past couple weeks. We've got a brand new car coming, map editor is getting some updates, and it's being hinted that the update could release in a matter of literally days. At the latest I'm expecting the update to come around Christmas but who knows lol

I was hoping we would get it this week. One thing I noticed is-- the devs havent approved any mods in two days-- maybe they are working on the update

Getting it this week wouldn't be too surprising - the 2022 and 2023 updates (0.27 and 0.31) both released in the second full week of December (13th and 14th, respectively), and the 2020 update (0.21) also released around the same time (15th). While it's absolutely possible for the update to drop later in the month (0.15, from 2018, dropped on the 20th), the devs probably want to release the update early enough in the month to get a few bugfixes out before their holidays (and to drum up hype for the Steam Winter Sale to maximize sales).

Speaking of sales and hype, I've been frequenting SteamDB lately (as Derail Valley, another game I love playing, broke its previous playercount record with the release of B99 a couple weeks ago, with a new peak of 2,950 players on the 23rd of November, 2024). Apparently, BeamNG.drive's been gaining players by the thousands in recent updates. 0.27 pushed the game over 20K concurrent players, 0.31 over 25K, and 0.33 almost pushed the game over 30K concurrent players. I think it's possible we'll see that count crack 30K with the release of 0.34. And to think that nine years ago, when I got the game (26 December 2015), the concurrent player count was about 1.5K.

Also has anyone thought the “cars have wheels” thing could possibly mean we’re getting new wheels or maybe they’re adding PBR to the current ones? I’m also thinking it could mean they’re adding new steering wheels or adding PBR to the racing wheels as they lack it at the moment.
