unusable terrain paints

    Check the console (`) for errors, it was spamming errors for me, after fixing them the lag disappeared

    It seems like are problems with the terrain textures, also how big is your map?

    I have the same problem and cannot progress. What is the work now?

    I'm surprised there are not more posts on this. My level (4096) is not workable with this problem either. The lag causes random bits of terrain to suddenly appear where I don't want them. Only started after .34 update. Tried deep cache cleaning, safe mode, nothing works. Vanilla maps seem unaffected so I'm guessing it is a code change affecting our maps.

    Update:
    digging deeper I saw missing texture errors and found that some of my materials were missing pieces. The lag was caused mostly by missing base map layers. There is still more lag now than before the .34 update (I am using 23 terrain layers) but at least it is now workable. Hopefully this helps someone else with similar issue.
