    The 'gentle loading' of materials might be absent now. I haven't done any testing on this, but I used to pull the single-axle tanker trailer from the Shuffleboard Logistics loan screen in 0.33.3 and I was quite impressed that fluid was loaded slowly not to overload the truck. However, yesterday I bought a tandem-axle tanker and it was loaded instantly -- all 17t of it! I'm pretty sure that broke the walking-beam suspension on my T-series too lol

    So it might be just the tandem-axle trailer that is loaded too quickly as far as I know, but I'll be manually loading a few hundred litres at a time now.

    The insurances renewals and "long distance driver" are reading off of something weird, I added the digital odometer UI and had my comercial renew 5 times in 40km. I also got my 300km in 4 hours averaging way under 50kmh and not driving all 4 hours..

    It's reading fastest wheel speed when I'm spinning on gravel and lifting my inside drive wheels in hard turns, or getting RPM ahead of the final drive ratios?

    I've noticed doing the new dirt track time attacks that "Reverse Loop" and "Simple Reverse" seem to be the exact same layout but with the start lines nudged slightly? That and despite being the same course the time targets are completely different. Overall I've been having a lot of fun with the added course and building a ridiculous sunburst trying to hit these times reminds me of the Japanese dirt trial scene but the events could probably do with another look-over when there's time.

    Oh and on a completely different note I've noticed something else terrifying which is that all the moving traffic in career mode seems to occasionally get replaced with 5 orange cars (there's a vivace not visible in the screenshot) which is only mildly unsettling. There's still normal parked cars around the city but nothing else.

    How about adding a "viewed by developer" button? I think it would save us from the feeling that our message didn't reach you) and it would also have a beneficial effect on duplication of messages in different threads and not only, which I myself sometimes sin.

    I like the idea in general, but it would lead to more headaches for both the community and devs if this was the case. A developer might hit, "viewed" and then get distracted or pulled into a call and get sidetracked on another fix and before they know it, they've forgotten to follow up - so for now, posting in the forum and getting a response counts as, "viewed by developer." I'd like to think that it's especially the case within this thread; though even I miss things from time to time and someone has had to bring it back to my attention.


    These are two strange bugs for sure!

    The naming of the gravel track is ... an accident! During development I moved the order around, and somehow the names got confused, and as a result the tracks seemed to follow suit and I didn't catch it. Great catch yourself, thanks for the report - I've already fixed the titles, starting position, scoring, race path, and description to be correct. Fingers crossed it makes it into the next hot fix!

    Regarding the traffic vehicles - that's a first, I haven't heard of it or seen it from anyone. Are you running any mods at all?

    My one singular active mod is the UI app that shows the car's power, weight, and power to weight ratio. However, after some messing about I think it happens consistently after the "Full Circuit Challenge" time trial and the traffic vehicles are turned into the cones from the challenge? It also seems to have a tendency to stick your car in the ocean the first time you start it after a reconfiguration which becomes very unfortunate if you bring your own car and then the weight of the ocean snaps your axles which doesn't get fixed by restarting the mission.

    I have set my insurance renewal for 100km, but surely it does renew much sooner and being 4000 beam money it does have an impact, comparing to if it would renew at 100km.
    I believe it is closer to 12 miles than 100km for some reason.

    Also same findings with long distance driver, it surely counts lot of distance.

    Have you got stuck at bridge that leads to Spearleaf? For me it is maybe 33% of travels on that bridge when bot cars manage to rear end each other and create a blockade.
    I am running usually 12-15 bot cars, with 5 or less there are less chances of bot cars creating mayhem, but they still tend to spawn quite closely and ram into each other.

    Situation is so severe that I have lowered number of bot cars to 4-5 for now, certainly in 0.33 there were less of these rear ending bot cars as I am finding myself playing less of career mode now, getting constantly stuck because cars at front make a pileup and refuses to move afterwards is making it somewhat too challenging to be successful in career mode playing.

    In 0.33 I remember running 18-20 bot cars and while it felt more like a city with gridlocks every now and then, they were not as crash happy, so my vehicle was not blocked by bot car pileups.

    Stuck, no, my favorite minigames is "threading the needle" and I put bull bars and push bumpers, no mirrors or mudflaps to snag on mt trucks. If it's right blocked I just slow plow them aside while I roll through or If think I can almost fit maintain cruising speed I just force my truck in and it works most of the time.

    They are being extra jankey on the bridge and a few other places like rear ending each other in a single file up the middle of both lanes, my AI is on auto which seems conservative.

    So it looks like the fixes were able to just squeak by into the latest hot fix!

    The gravel time trials have been fixed, the transport dolly no longer takes an inventory slot, personal vehicles no longer retain radiator damage after restarting a challenge, and the travel trailer has had a proper year on it to its file - 1975-1987 which should help with availability/pricing, all of that among among a whole swath of minor tweaks and fixes to WCUSA hwy roads.

    Thank you all so much for the bug reports, I'm really happy we were able to get them addressed for the Christmas Holidays!

    Unfortunately, we didn't get to the Drag Strip left vs right issue - when you are the winner on the right side, it shows that the left side won, and when the left side is the winner, it shows that the right side won. Darn it, we're aware of it and if there is another hotfix in the new year, I'll try my best to make sure it gets in there!

    Does toggling the map clear or reset something in the background?

    I loaded my save today to 10-12 FPS which can just mean all the AI around balesco garage or I need to restart my machine from running days on end but was just doing a quick look on the computer at cars for sale and didn't care.

    I did a quick look at the map and when I turned it off my FPS was back in the 30s-40s range like normal.

    I noticed in my looking for interesting stuff in the gamefiles namely ones pertaining to my owned vehicles, looks it's tracking the milage and cosmetic condition of each vehicle's individual installed part?

    Is that not fully functional yet, I got curious how and if that works when I've replaced every component used vehicle to build a config that I like but doesn't spawn?

    Like I would think the value of a well used base model UTV would go up significantly if I turned it into a race spec by using the garage slot and replacing the frame with a sport frame including new bodywork even though some of it was reusable from the donor and then every single other part for a better version. It can be almost all low mileage high end parts but it seems to still value like a used base model.

    wrapping up my last save I also tried duping saved cars a few ways and made a Scintilia that the duplicate had a super low value like the cost of the frame itself and it would get $0 instant private repairs. I'm not looking to exploit this, very curious about how this valuing system works or is going to work. Something like micromanaging the wear state and value of actual individual car parts is the type of peak immersion I love, exciting stuff.

    To be fair, there's racing games that take place in the United States, and the car roster often includes cars from foreign markets (such as Mexico, Latin America, Europe, Japan, and Australia) and brands like Citroën, Fiat, Holden, Lancia, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, SEAT, and even Vauxhall. Just take a look at Juiced and most Need for Speed games.

    Considering that the actions performed in these games are also illegal (street racing, evading arrest, etc.), they probably wouldn't care if the car they imported isn't legal to import either. But for a game like Beam, it is more realistic and "legal" (though I suppose it depends on the player).

    That's how my career roleplay works, first thing I do is take the plates of everything because f those cameras and if I have police on I run because I don't have licence and I'm usually drunk too, lol.
