Well, it's a good thing that you are doing this in Beam and not in real life. Carry on.

I rode a blacked out 120hp sport bike for 2 years without a licence and my plate bent so it wouldn't scan, those nerds can't do anything if they can't identify or catch you, just like a video game.

I’d like to see continued variation put into buying used cars and fixing them up. Engine power variation and reduced damping in the shocks are great moves. Maybe braking capacity, tires, wheel types, missing parts, etc. could also come into play? And for higher milage cars, perhaps a probability the engine can refuse to turn over, transmissions with missing gears, or a slipping clutch? I really love the idea of fixing up junkers with varying problems :D

Not sure if this has been brought up, but tying visuals into part selections would also be nice. Maybe the car could become transparent and show the selected component similar to how they could be displayed in free roam. Though it may require even more work into tying in automatic zooming when parts are too small to make out from a distance.

I’d also find the track being pay-to-use to be fitting; X number of Beam Bucks for Y number of laps sort of deal. Currently it’s open to the public and free to enter. Though the entry is looking far more lively and inviting. Really enjoying how well West Coast is coming along. My frames are even enjoying it!

I've been datamining looking for neat things, this is the end of a vehicle save file, looks like wear and tear on parts and it having detrimental effects is in there.

Have you ever tried the RLS career overhaul? I think pay to play track time is coming with the new release and maybe a more hard-core gameplay loop if I can convince the developers on a few things :)

I only have time for a quick response at the moment and I want people to know that There are definite plans for charging for access to the track and drag strip etc for the new year! Lots of really exciting stuff, current concept is working under the"Belasco Motorsports Association" where players will be able to enter drag races or AI races with opponents that are matched up to them, and sort of giving an unlimited gameplay opportunity just like delivery does now. There's a heck of a lot more involved, and it's all really exciting, I can't wait to get everything buttoned up and jump into the work in the new year!

I made a positive comment about the AI after my first few hours in the .34 version then it seemingly got worse, like really bad. It occured to me today when I manually turned off simple AI vehicles and I started seeing MDs n traffic again. I think I had files migrated into my mods/unpacked folder that were preventing the simplified cars from spawning until I cleaned house and deleted my .33 backup and it's leftovers.

What I saw cruising around tonight was telling, probably half the number of cars total on automatic setting like I usually set it in the gameplay tab. They were behaving way more natural stopping at intersections and starting again realistically, only one pileup on the bridge and one down town in a few hours, a few fender benders, all driving a bit quicker and more consistently. I took a little hit to my FPS but fewer better looking and behaving cars was a big improvement. I'm sure there's a simplified one it the future, seeing the MD in traffic was way more immersive that a bunch of crashed or weirdly oscillating cars I didn't even miss the 5-10fps.

I have a theory that you're a bit optimistic with your system detect metric and the new ones, sure they're graphically less intensive but they still need CPU and RAM resources to make decisions in a timely manner. Their "indecisive" intersection behavior and slow reaction time to a stopped or slow car in front of them seems to tell a story. I'm playing on an older high end computer 2070rtx based at reasonable graphics setting, it isn't having a problem showing me them but it's struggling to think for them all at the same time. If you dialed back the auto amount by 10-20% I think it'd be a big improvement to their behavior for a range of systems.

Also odd I've been having great luck with Vulcan in the last build and with the simplified traffic, switching to the "normal" cars had my frames all over the map and caused my game to lockup with nothing interesting in the log files. I cleared my cache and even replaced my main game files with a known untouched backup in case I'd accidentally made changes to the wrong pane when comparing with my unpacked files trying stuff. The simplified cars work fine with Vulkan but it hates the playable ones as AI on my end now, switched renderers out of frustration mostly and everything worked as expected again.

The RLS Career mode is pretty good, but some parts are quite unrealistic. For example, why does a police station on West Coast sell an ETK cop car from Germany? o_O

Also, here is something I thought would make career mode interesting for the future. I think that once the Wentward gets remastered, there could be a transport branch. It could include buses and taxis. Also, if a subway gets added to the game in the future, or something like a BART train, (I know there's a 99% chance it won't) that could also be included in the branch since there is a whole subway system of stations and tracks around WCUSA that goes from downtown to Spearleaf island.

The labourer branch is home to all sorts of gameplay potential including, buses, taxis, towing, and the like! I'm hoping modders will pick up the pieces we're laying down and put something really special together to fit their own vision!

I totally understood, and I'm a big fan and supporter of the RLS mod, the team behind it are top notch!

I'm not sure that traffic count calculations have changed, it's possible that with more traffic variety memory use is slightly higher here or there. The auto amount loads based on your computer's core count, so 8 core = 8 vehicles, 16 core = 16 etc. If you find that you would run better with a certain number, the gameplay options let you input whichever number vehicles you'd prefer! I prefer lesser driving traffic, and maximum parked vehicles myself!

This is something I'd really like to have more time for: Some sort of "used vehicle" generator that goes beyond just higher mileage, faded paint, and less efficient transmissions/engines. Something that has fenders missing or repainted, flat tires, and more. One day perhaps!

I'm seeing about twice as many simplified cars as I do when I disable them with auto settings and the simplified car's AI behaves poorly comparatively.

    Hello,
I wanted to add my feedback.
First of all. Career mode is the MOST ENJOYABLE feature of BeamNG to date. I was very pleasantly surprised when I tried it out.
Having goals and something to do makes this my #1 most played game at the moment.
I'd like to separate my feedback into two different categories: Bugs and Qualms
I will try not to give feedback I've already seen on this forum.
    Bugs:
#1 I found after purchasing a Tanker Trailer that I frequently couldn't load large quantities of fluids. The "loading zone" will appear and it will even make the UI sound when I drive over the zone but I will get no "Load Cargo" UI no matter how long I wait. This only really started happening with the Tanker Trailer. This has not happened with the MD Tanker or the "Fluid" Cargo boxes. It will work occasionally.
#2 I often get stuck in a menu loop because of the bugs/delays with the mission UI. I also feel the UI is still pretty poor for controller users.
#3 I can't seem to find access to "loaner vehicles" but I may need to progress in the "Car Jockey" category I'm not sure. I'm largely parcel and bulk goods focused.
    Qualms:
#1 Not enough money for Trucking jobs- It seems the only way to make good money with the T-Series is with Bulk transport EG: the Tanker Trailer. There is little to no advantage to the Semi trailer hauls. I can make $500 towing a 20T pipe trailer but I can also make the same (or more) towing a itty bitty enclosed trailer. I also feel there's a big niche missing hauling dry vans. You get no money towing those and owning one makes zero sense. It's possible to do parcel deliveries with a tractor/trailer but the UI get's very fiddly with big loads as well as not being able to fit anywhere with a big trailer. A MD series with a box attachment is much more effective for this leaving dry vans useless. It'd be nice to see a niche for using a big 53' Dry van trailer. Maybe a "full trailer load" function where they need the whole trailer for one or two locations. A load of pallets maybe?
#2 Can't back into trailer deliveries. It makes no sense to have these nice big dockyards with multiple docks and have me NOSE IN to the drop location. It would be nice to back in. placing other trailers at both the pickup and delivery locations would also make for a nice challenge.
#3 Delivering Aggregate and Fluids with the individual boxes is a HASSLE having to manually select 16+different slots. It'd be nice to have an "autoload" function there circling back to "buggy UI"
#4 Not enough garage slots- It would be nice to be able to have multiple vehicles for different things Once you start adding trailers and specialized trucks to the garage, it gets tight. Good luck trying to do race missions for fun. If this is supposed to be a progression-based limitation it would be nice to be able to "upgrade" your garage storage. Or at least bill me more for the increased storage.
#5 The AI traffic is terrible. Slamming on the brakes, hyperspeed ramming into me when I'm trying to back into a loading zone(and then I have to pay to fix it), swerving in and out of my lane, stopping abruptly in front of me and then speeding up, crashing into eachother and blocking off the entire roadway. I turned the AI traffic amount to 3 and that helped a little.
#6 Too many random useless vehicles and not enough variety of useful vehicles in the purchase menu. Its so hard to find what I'm looking for when there's 6 campers for sale and one T series and only so many vehicles for sale
#7 Not enough time to make "timed" parcel deliveries. The UI doesn't help with this but I can only make a timed mission for ONE delivery and I have to beeline there at MAXIMUM SPEED in a small car or truck to get there on time which is fun, but not very realistic when you're "supposed" to stop for traffic signals and loosely obey speed limits. I've missed out on a lot of revenue this way.
#8 This is nitpicky, and I don't use the routing anymore, but the GPS routing is very poor. It'll tell me to drive to the other side of the map when I'm RIGHT NEXT to on of my stops, I know where everything is at this point, but that was frustrating. It'd be nice to be able to sequence my own route, which you kinda can do, but is frustrating and buggy with the career map being cluttered over, too small, and impossible to see fine details. (back to UI again)

I hope I wasn't too mean- I love this game, I'm having a great time. I can't wait to see what Career mode has in store.
    Thanks!

This one is a personal wish of mine, there was a mod that made heavy XL cargos 32 at a time at industrial sites if your reputation and laborer skill was maxed, accidently from what I've gathered. It made $150k truck loads sometimes but only attainable if you did the steps to haul them like buying/building a $150-200k truck. That much almost in trailers, driving hella slow if you wanted to run stacked XLs and not roll over or being 120' long to go the speed limit and the associated planning that goes with driving a road train, the high cost of messing up with either.

It or something like it makes the awesome T-series relevant and fun.

I guess a good way to fix this is for places to offer "special cargo" like pallets, Steel coils, pipes, wooden crates, wood boxes, etc. They would be a more reliable way to make more use of the medium and heavy duty trucks currently in game. They could be offered by the various industrial warehouses spread out amongst the map in large enough (and frequent enough) quantities so it would entice players to purchase larger vehicles (from previously acquired profits) as they progress the Laborer Branch.

I do get 60fps with 15 bot drivers, but also I get lot these situations.
    stuck_0342.jpg

Green box of my H45 box truck can be seen at distance. They seem to crash always at same locations. Also speed limit of 40 is not obeyed by bot cars on the bridge.

I guess crashing does happen because spawn distance is so close now, so bot driver is driving along road minding their own business, speeding along, then new bot car spawns to front of them.

    2) Also when you enter to spot of cargo spawner, Parcels available shows 7 in this picture, but when I click inspect, there was only 4 parcels available, I did have cargo deliver level 3, so perhaps this screen shows number of deliveries at cargo delivery level 5
    amount_of_deliveries.jpg

    3) Yellow dot of milestones button does not disappear after claiming rewards, because when I claim rewards and return to the screen where milestones button is, yellow dot remains.
When I re-enter milestones screen and then return, that makes yellow dot to disappear.

    4) Sometimes I get message you have 12 unclaimed milestones, but when I look at my unclaimed milestones there are only 4, sometimes none, there is something odd with script that calculates these numbers.

I do enjoy a lot of this career mode and it is very nice that one can build own mod parts for vehicles, for example I chose to place eSBR rear electric motor to my H45 cargo van, now my deliveries are carbon neutral with lot of tire smoke at the corners :D

Mine was having no problem loading a lot more cars but they did stuff like that It's spawning them less densely with simplified off and they're doing that about 90% less, it looks empty on the big highways but works...

EV's appear to get recharged when making any edit to the car when at a garage (whether or not any new parts were bought). They may even get a full charge just from being towed to the garage.

First of all, i love the game and the attitude of the devs and the community. :D
Im really enjoying the game especially the carreer mode.
Even though other games have more story based content, since im playing beamng it hard for me to go back to any other driving game because of the details and immersivness that comes with it. There is just no other game that gives me that feeling of driving.

For the the future i hope there will be passanger transport added to carreer mode all long with a Wentward remaster /update and maybe even adding a new vehicile like a more modern minibus or van that serves public transportation. Dont know if there is any space for a Bus or Taxi depot on the map aswell.
The bus routes allready exsists on West Coast US and randomly generated Point to Point Taxi Missions would be nice as well. For the progression aspect there could be longer taxi trips or passangers who are in a hurry. For the bus routes you should start with the H-Series or a smaller bus serving suburban transit later on you unlock bigger vehicels. Might as well add pedestrians who are waiting at the bus stop and if you serve a bus stop frequently more passengers are waiting and you got more cash:rolleyes:

Anyway, thanks again for the great work:oops:

I’ve really liked how the .34 update has added a lot to the Motorsports path. I wonder if it would be possible in the future to expand on this with limiting races to cars that meet certain requirements. Naturally aspirated or forced induction only races, power-to-weight ratio limits, make or model specific classes/series. I think things like that could really expand the sense of progression, and I think building out a car for those certain race series would be really fun.
