That is the only way to fix it. Otherwise it is exactly how it is. Only some people have that problem but many dont. I have not encountered the problem myself. I am not sure how that bug is even possible.
When unchecking "Stereo Headphones" it dosen't switch to mono, it instead switches to "Stereo TV" essentially. The difference being the angle of ingame "microphones" being different or something.
It isn't LJ's fault, this is an issue with all mods that use that sound currently. It's something that the BeamNG team needs to fix themselves
I just got the mod and noticed that almost every version seems to have very short gearing; did the base models of the real Lada Zhiguli really top out at under 70 miles per hour? This seems unimpressive even by Soviet standards and would be downright unacceptable in post-Soviet Russia or export markets.
@RyanCookie in bugs you mention that police car is not operating correctly. I have found information regarding that, look here https://www.beamng.com/threads/solv...custom-configs-behave-like-police-cars.90437/ So in short, json file with appropriate name is needed in addition to .pc file and inside json file there needs to be "Config Type":"Police" if I have understood correctly, I have not yet tested this myself, but I thought this might be information that would be interesting to you. Regarding gear ratios, here is 1200 model specifications, if finnish is difficult, Google or DeepL can translate: https://ladakerho.fi/info/takaveto/1200.htm Anyway, meat of the page: 1st 3.75:1 2nd 2.30:1 3rd 1.49:1 4th 1.00:1 R 3.87:1 Diff 4.3:1 60hp at 5600rpm, 155R13 tires, 155/80-13 would be close if I'm not mistaken. Top speed was 142kph and it took 20 seconds to reach 100kph, 940kg of weight and turning radius of 5.9 meters. From linked paged you can also see other models as well and there is wheel alignment data and other interesting bits, but of course you might already know all this, but just in case I decided to share what little I know.
This isnt a 1 to 1 lada so i dont care about it being exactly like the real life counterpart. Stuff like the police cars not behaving like one is known and already fixed. Update was almost finished 2 months ago but I just am not feeling like doing anything with BeamNG lately and since the BeamNG 0.34 update is possibly very close I wont be updating the mod for quite some time anyway.
I did not mean it in a rude way. I just simply dont have the time to mess with anything beamng related and I want to do some things my way. For example the late TAZ Mir is a mix of lada 2105/2107 and Wartburg. Early model is a mix of 2101,2106 and 2103. Baikal is just a mix of Niva and some cool concept photoshop i found on pinterest. When it comes to the running gear I have already explained before that the transmission ratios will be longer in the newer update. It is supposed to be based on the Miramar and not a Fiat 124 But i still am thankful that you took the time to search for such info
Baikal breaking career after purchasing and spawning. After all, career saves dont open or put you on "water" screen after loading
not sure when this started happening but the konela turbo causes a fatal lua error for me (tested with only this mod enabled)
Oh yeah that started happening. It is because of the 6500RPM limiter, they changed so that the rpm number cant be between quotes, which is such a random thing to change Take this file below and drop it into the mod in vehicles\common\taz_common_parts\engines and replace the existing file. (rename the file to mir_engine_1.2_sohc.jbeam because the forums for some reason gets rid of the dot in the middle of the file name)
Well, according to Wikipedia, the real life VAZ-2101 topped out at 87 miles per hour. So yes, it may need slightly longer gearing, but it's not too far off of it's IRL counterpart.
That speed is for the base model with a 1.2L engine and 59hp; in the mod only the 1.5L premium Mir variants can reach that speed. The base Mir with 52hp should be a bit slower but probably still reach 80 or close to it.
