Guys, where do I install it? I wouldn't mind if someone helped me. I played this game long time ago but I uninstalled it and now i forgor. Where do I put the files in? mods? content? conetnt>vehicles? please help me
Just wanted to say an absolute MASSIVE thankyou to all those who helped create this. As a brand new user (4 days in) of BeamNG this has totally changed how I feel about this game/simulator and breathed life into what was starting to feel like a very lonely and empty world. I am however having trouble in understanding the concept of the "Pooled Cars" I guess I'm being a bit thick! LOL But after reading some replies about the term I've still got quite grasped the meaning. I understand there are a whole selection of amazing looking cars this MOD will pull from, and place on the roads around you, and you can set the number of cars. But what does "Pooled" mean? Does it mean that if you set this value low, you will only see a tiny selection of the whole range of different cars? And if you wish to see the widest selection this "Pooled" value should be set high? Or is that not how it works and it affects things in other ways? I'm welcome a more simple explanation so I can grasp what this means? Many thanks. **EDIT** I just went into the game, set the number of cars up from the default 11 to 20 The tried with the car pooling set at 40, drove for a while, Then restarted it with pooling set at 1 and I have to be honest it's not super apparent to me what the difference is. Perhaps I'm totally misunderstanding this feature? Car Pooling means different people sharing the same car, so I'm struggling a bit here to grasp what this does.
Loads extra cars into memory (a pool of extra cars, if you will) that are not actively used all the time. Occasionally the game will swap a visible car with one from the pool instead fo just respawning it. It means that if you have a weak cpu but spare memory you can have different cars appear as you go along instead of just the same x. My pc can only handle ~16 cars at once for example but i can load every car of the mod into ram with pooled stuff, so the end result is i can now see every car driving about
Thank you very much for explaining this so clearly. Makes sense now --- Post updated --- I'm aware of the no requests statement, but this is more of an observation and method to resolve this observation so I hope I'm not upsetting by saying the following: This car mod is incredible, and the best think that's breathed the feeling of life into driving around. Two observations. 1. Perhaps a value could be applied to roads, so a dirt path, or construction area is given a far lower value than a wide open road. One may expect a dozen cars to be found along a main road, but turn off, onto a dirt road, then one would only expect to see the occasional vehicle there. 2. The amount of cars set to have a random option. Like you set 10 cars, but can also set a random amount up to 10 cars. In real life you would find a group of cars for a little while and then only see one or two for a bit, then come across a few more. So a random as opposed to fixed amount would give a more realistic feeling of interacting with other traffic. Hope that's ok to bring up these points.
Great mod, actually. A lot of cars, very optimised but still with some detachable parts. It's a real gift for my old laptop). The only suggestion- to make BeamNG spawn cars from pack in career mode/through radial menu. Like I choose in mod menu the pack, that the game will spawn in radial menu.
1) The cars are small compared to the regular game cars. 2) They can get damaged extremely easily, just a bump and it's destroyed. 3) I didn't find the traffic tool, so I spawned them with the regular way. 4) The cars' interiors are not detailed and they are blur.
