No need to get defensive I wasn't trying to imply that. I'm just saying, waiting instead of asking "wen relez" is better.
sadly, they can't. the best they can do is constantly search for them on websites with mods, and hope those websites have a way to contact site admins to get the leaks taken down.
I think you can do something with lua to prevent simply copying and pasting the file. It's not something secure as you can just delete the script, but better than nothing. --- Post updated --- You can try out this while waiting btw. It's not a high quality mod (gauges don't work, no openables, engines and interior look like total shit), but jbeam is quite good.
except the mod is in a .zip file... which you download from Lucas's website... which then you have to transfer to the mods folder... i am fairly certain that this would not work, as several points in time would probably activate the "anti theft" protection. and besides, im fairly certain the .lua files are used for in-game functions of the car, and i doubt you can make a .json file constantly aware of wether something happened to it or the .zip file its in. in short, lets not put fucking Denuvo in a BeamNG mod.
One simple thing you can do with a lua script is, if we take Windows, to write the user's SID and, if the script finds that it doesn't match with the written one, automatically disable the mod. This is a very, very stupid DRM, as it won't work with Linux and if you transfer the mod to a different Windows account, and I also don't know if BeamNG's sandbox allows this, but I guarantee it will stop ~30% of people who leak paid mods, because they're idiots.
Interior is textured and in-game! Only have the gauges left in terms of interior stuff. Here are all the available colors : (The seat colors are independent from the interior color, so you can mix and match seat and interior color options!) I've also decided to make a custom race dash, instead of reusing the default BeamNG race dash model : I'm going to spend the next few days polishing the mod, making skins and fixing small things I should've fixed months ago (bunch of stuff I figured "future me" would fix...), and once that's done I can move on the beta-testing. Release isn't very far away now
HELL YES. This has to be your best project so far. feeling pumped cuz i got slowed reverb remix of ransom on in the background. YIPPEE
