Maybe this one: Since I think a screenshot of a spawnpoint isn't working to represent a whole region, I decided to have funny old style car pictures as spawn point selectors. They stand for the roots of driving and how it became a fix part of our lifes (also in BeamNG) . EDIT: This decision was completely broken due to copyright issues and led to the ugly AI generated spawnpoint pictures. That's the reason. I haven't made any further screenshots of the map at the moment, cause...
It runs very well on my machine (see signature for specs) with 3 AI cars (from Agents AI pack) I get 60-80 fps.
You already have a beta copy of the map? Mines year release don't count because I added a 2018 graphics card in a 2014 pc.
Not yet, i'll wait until beta version will be released and then buy it to support creator, that must have been lot of work for over one year.
Yes I had the honor to be a beta-tester (which was no hard work at all but fun). Homerange is home to all vehicles on land, water and air. I hope 'BSGT' approves of my amateur screenshot of the barge on it´s way from 'Nodehinge Hill' to 'Silt Dam', in the background 'Franky Castle'.
Well, now I'm waiting, too . The map has been sent to car_killer right now. I hope approval will not take much time. Download file size: 1.6GB - yeah!
Homerange is also home to all kinds of cars, even to the lesser powered ones. I´ve wondered why and came to the conclusion that there are rarely any corners that are really low-speed, most of them are above 60km/h, so it´s more about momentum and car-handling than about power. So you can absolutely feel at home in a 50 hp 'Peugeot 205' by JorgePinto. Picture taken near 'PiWater' airport.
A random video I shot, as I intended to peacefully go snowboarding on "Mt. Druckeberga" but ended up in a car wrecking insanity . Why? Cause it can be very possible on Homerange...
I hear "When Doves Cry" ... but wait, Prince is actually singing "When Doves Laugh" ... I wonder what kind of liquid "Wired Mouse" took in at the gas-station ....
I hope I can sweeten the waiting time with some more funny stuff rather than showing the permanent and ongoing progress of the map work . Heavy timber transport ends in an aerobatic show. Why? Well, because it's possible on "Barbent's Homerange": --- Post updated --- Another one? Yes : A morning commuter took a shocking shortcut but was completely unharmed and is still in good health today. He now works as a stuntman in the hottest movies.
Wow what a details in the map, realy creasy, beauriful, and Beam has very good horns on their cars, what ever you do, you can push the horn ;>) --- Post updated --- 10 points for the side landing, and a free BBQ after that. ;>)
I really cannot think of a better word to express my feeling, this map is a masterpiece. I'm genuinely impressed by how you balance between map details, gameplay and overall atmosphere. Clutters are placed carefully, naturally and serve to your gameplay. Just awesome! Small mapmaking(maybe) question: are there any tricks to make the terrain more natural? I noticed that multiple materials are used for the field outside the road, they blend together very well and look just nice. And your terrain is shaped naturally too. When I tried painting terrain materials, I had no idea how to insert rocks and gravel into the background(e.g. grass), and when I did this I often felt it's unnatural and obtrusive. Should I just paint it like a picture, or there are some procedural steps to follow? Thanks for your amazing work! Can't wait for the release of the map.
