i understand it ur using the Repo one and the fix from @RyanCookie at the same time? yeah ur not supposed to do that, the one from ryancookie is its own new car, it replaced this one, you dont need the repo one for it to work
This is a great mod, but I think it could use a few relatively minor changes to make it more realistic, specifically being split into two generations at least with regards to the engine. Although unleaded fuel and emissions rules had already come into play in 1972, the real coup de grace was the fuel crisis, which wouldn't arrive until '73. Early production models should therefore have slightly more powerful small-block engines, whereas late-production models (1974 and later) should have all engines except the smallest V8 and I6 nerfed, especially the biggest V8 which, if it isn't discontinued entirely, wouldn't be making much more than 200 horsepower. If you have time to do so, you should also make the later models gaudier with features like landau tops, as it was at this time that muscle cars were starting to transition into personal luxury cars. Also, no automaker would call their engines the "Crisis-Power" or "Oil-Thrust"; it is terrible marketing in the real world to not try and create positive connections in peoples' minds no matter how bad the situation actually is.
Dude it's a game mod of a fictional car please stop taking it so seriously. I love the engine names and will fight you to keep them this way, they are amazing and don't need correcting.
The engine names are a joke and a frivolous refrence to the oil crisis. Dont take a game so seriously.
I love them, I hope you create a "late" or "facelift" version from the mid/late 70s with a sub 200hp big block called the "Malaise-Power" V8. Also could have a stupidly underpowered smallblock like the Mustang II had with like 125-150hp. The base model could have an inline 4 with like 75-100hp. It'd be hilarious. Also question @RyanCookie, would you be open to updating the Bruckell Land Lark like you did this car (with author permission ofc)? It's a similar era and look and I'd love to pit the two updated cars against each other.
having this thing slowly morph into a bloated piece of crap with a 180hp bigblock and massive bumpers would be hilarious
Oh yeah, bring on the (lack of) thunder! I really hope Ryan is down to do this or that another modder might. lol
Nah the top model has 360hp as it's from 1972 according to the lore. I want a mid-late 70s abysmal big block that is so asthmatic that it chokes just thinking about breathing.
im like 99% sure the roadsport has like 260. the tracksport has more but thats not a realistic config in any way
I was referring to the tracksport yes, but even the roadsport isn't the malaise asthmatic boat anchor me and TMccanna were thinking of.
what am I missing I have the mod with no other bandit mod but I have missing textures is there a solution?
Ohhhhh, OK, I didn't realise they were deliberate jokes. But TBomb's suggestions for peak malaise era engines, landau tops and other luxury-oriented parts would still be great if you have the time to implement them. A late model like this wouldn't be redundant to the Moonhawk, since despite being a default car, it is unrealistically powerful for its era even after the repeated nerfs of the higher-end versions.
