I don't know what these things are called, but they DEFINITELY do NOT look like this! In reality they look like this. Or do these stripes look like this in the east, north or west of Germany? I don't know because I live in the south of Germany.
Just out of curiosity, but where is this highway based on? Like what regions of germany? Also i would like to suggest adding gas stations and also faraway sing posts or buildings. For example there is shopping malls and other things near the highway and they have those massive signs with shop logos, you could do that.
Hi, these lanes are called restricted areas (Sperrfläche "Zeichen 298") I can assure you that they don't look like that
might be a nice idea, maybe some boards along the road that aren’t official road signs? yea no xD To be honest, I don’t have a driver’s license and just lazily put something together that looks remotely right, probably going to fix that. In general, I have very little clue about roads signs etc., so if something is missing or wrong feel free to tell me. I’m not necessary going for hyper realism here but I still want to get the important details right ^^ in the general “I should add buildings” section this goes. no place in general, I’m form Hessen (central germany) so I guess that?
Interesting. Shame you can't explore the innards too much - the junctions should link up via driving through the inside. Overall very enjoyable.
On the Autobahn we have signs that show the kilometers --- Post updated --- This is what an exit looks like Before the exit there are 3 announcement signs with 300m, 200m, and 100m
After taking a closer look via google these spots are mostly simply left empty, (atleast around frankfurt) so I’m simply going to remove these --- Post updated --- sorry, not entirely sure i get what you mean?
think he means that the experimental country roads thing are a bit bland you can, its just it takes quite a bit to drive from one end to the other its 57km in the end you can drive off one exit and use the country roads to drive to a highway exit on the other side of map
Are the Overpass bridges accessible without teleporting your car? [edit] I just got the map and yes they are accessible good work!
I guess Frankfurt, or maybe cities in general (I don't live near by one) are a bit special if it comes to that? Because I have never seen that these spots were left empty in my entire life.
The map is great! As a german I almost feel home. The roads are fun to drive at and the track definitely isn't too short. I only have one problem with this map. The bridges are quite steep. I almost always break my bumpers when going over a bridge...even at only 25 km/h. Also I feel only two tracks each direction is a little narrow. But that's not really a problem. But apart from that the map is great. I especially love the signage.
This map has really improved with the latest update, so I have a couple of suggestions: firstly, could you set the map to make cars spawn with German license plates by default? Secondly, have you considered limiting the AI traffic to the right lane only, since proper lane discipline and overtaking hasn't been implemented yet and, especially, because cars spawn far too close to the player to avoid emergency braking at 120+ mph? This would give people the most realistic recreation of the true German autobahn experience (whizzing past cars on the left whilst rarely being cut off) with the current technical constraints, and could only be done in one direction if you prefer so that those who actually like to weave through traffic like a yobbo can still do so going the other way. Also, do you eventually plan to beautify the country roads to the same standards as the Autobahn ring or will they remain as they are now?
