[ I ORIGINALLY POSTED THIS IS GENERAL DISCUSSION BUT REALIZED THERE WAS A MORE SPECIC FORUM FOR THIS]

also cuz the first response I got was buy a pc... bruh. I'm hoping my Computer Hardware friends can help me here!

I am currently building a BUDGET gaming PC. I have minimal experience doing this but understand it somewhat. If you have suggestions, part recommendations, advise; please don't be afraid to comment. Here's what we are working with:

    - Some random prebuilt LGA 1155 motherboard with full ATX and 2 Ram slots
    - FSP Group??? 300W non-linear PSU
    - Kingston 250G SSD
    - 8GB of RAM
    - Intel Pentium G630

I understand these are not optimal specs for BeamNG so I order a Intel i5 3550 and a EVGA double MOLEX to PCI-e 6 pin adapter. From my experience these adapters seem to work from my research some of these adapters are junk and fry your stuff and some just get warm that's why I tried to get a on-brand one. I also plan one getting 1 8GB stick of RAM to up the RAM to 12GB. However I have not ordered a GPU I have a RX580 2GB I acquired a long time ago but I probably does not work. My budget for a gpu is >$85, GPU's are cheap on eBay I just don't know which one to get. Any help is appreciated! Have a nice day

any used gaming pc will have more performance then that, Pentium and 8 GB Ram Is just trash for BeamNG, I recommend to increase budget or buy used pc.

and in this spec you said, gpu will be GeForce GTX 760. and its trash for BeamNG.

and even its an i5 3550 will be not good, What budget do you want, I will try to make pc in pcpartpicker.com. cuz I am PC Builder.

i5-3550 – better than Pentium G630, but still weak for BeamNG. The game likes powerful processors. If you can find i7-3770 or Xeon E3-1230 v2 for cheap, it will be better.

Thanks for the help I will definitely upgrade the CPU at some point because both of those processors flareBound77 recommended are fairly cheap. I have a RX 580 but I'm not sure if it works it probably doesn't. Do you think a 4gb or 8gb card would be adequate for BeamNG or is there other factors that determine GPU speed.

I just searched it up and saw that Pentiums were still produced until 2023. Bit weird considering the i series of CPUs are their main draw

The G630 is from 2011 though, so the prebuilt must be pretty old. I was originally going to say this but wasn't sure what Pentium it was

It think its from 2013 but the 1155 socket cpu's are pretty cheap so thats why I chose it but I read somewhere that the board only supports 8gb of ram I'm not sure if thats correct or not but that would be a bummer.

yes the intel pentium would be suitable if beamng was running with 2000's gaphics and physics
    --- Post updated ---
beamng is still mostly using single thread performance rather than multi threadperformance and for cpu is fast maintained clock speed

at least 8th generation intel i7 (preferably k series or better)
    500w psu
    gtx 1050 ti
AT LEAST 16GB RAM! use less ram and you get severe performance issues also some texure issues
sata ssd should do the trick

If you have a budget of around 1600 AUD then:
    corsair vengeance ddr5
    i5 14600kf
    cooler master elite 600W PSU
    gtx 1050ti
    Antec C600 M case
    samsung 980 - 500gb
    asus b760m lga 1700 ddr5
    Thermaltake astria 200

i'd recommend going for a 2060 or a 3050 instead of a 1050 ti, but its your choice.
