Try it on dx11. I've heard of people having problems with my map on vulkan. Also you can try moving all your mods out temporarily to see if that may be the problem. Last thing is to turn your graphics to very low until youre loaded in. My map is pretty hard on 16GB
Or just Vulcan in general. Lower end AMD setups crap out in Vulcan when they are 100% fine in the normal branch. If you have a 4gb VRAM AMD setups, just don't use Vulcan . I get 40+ fps on WCUSA spawn normally but 15- FPS on the same spawn with Vulcan. With my 4gb AMD setup.

THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. I live in the foothills of the Smokies (Seymour, TN), and I can see the mountains every time I drive into town. It's awesome to have a map that reflects the beauty of this area! I'm only working part time right now, so I'm not able to do Patreon support, but I want to point out that maps like these are well worth the money, and I am so grateful that creators like you choose to give us free access. I am happy to be patient with the free access update timeline. Once I get a chance to play it for a bit, I'll provide some more feedback! --- Post updated --- Initial impressions after about 10min of driving on the highway, a back road, and through the woods on a dirt road. (The version I have is from late last year, so I'm sure there are numerous upgrades I'll get to experience in the future.) This map has HUGE potential. You've nailed the rolling hills and long stretches of rural countryside dotted with pockets of civilization. The quality of the highway is top notch. The decals and road textures are well done, it's straight enough to go fast and curvy enough to be interesting, and it's super long. I've never driven for several minutes at 200mph+ on an actual real-life map (as opposed to something like Gridmap v.2) and felt like I was traveling on real highway. I drive from Tennessee to Florida at least once a year, and this map nails those long sections of interstate where it's just grass and trees for hours at a time. The back roads, both paved and dirt / gravel, are laid out well and sculpted just right. I can tell they'll receive more care and features in the future, so I can't wait to see what shows up! I'm getting fps in the high 40s in the open areas, low 70s on the highway, and low 20s in the forest. This is with 4 mods active (86 installed) and settings mixed between High and Ultra; for reference, I get low 60s fps on most default maps if time of day is afternoon, high 40s if sunrise / sunset. I'm still actively following the development of this map and I am really glad to see you are still working on it. It's looking better than ever! Unfortunately I'm also not in a position financially to subscribe to your paid tier early access but I would like to suggest you do a "rolling release" so to speak. Meaning. once the newest version is released as paid early access, the previous paid version becomes free. Seems to give both parties (those who can pay and those who can't) the best of both worlds.
Maybe it give problems on his pc? I have also problems with some mods in the vulcan mode, some of them crashes, and at some mods my car jumps to the home possition.
I haven't tested Caney Ridge but I get ~100 FPS avg on West Coast with Vulkan vs ~60 FPS avg with DX11, on a 3060.
Thank you for the kind words! These posts are a big part my of motivation. Bringing variety, realism, and immersion to my map are my biggest goals.
From what i've heard and seen, Vulcan can be hit or miss. Sometimes it's works great and even improves framerates! But on other setups it slices, the framerate in half or worse.
There will be free updates eventually. I understand that some are unable to afford a Patreon subscription. This is why I have the free version in the first place. I do like the rolling update idea, and have been contemplating it for a while now, but I am only one person and some updates, in my opinion, wouldn't justify a subscription if I did it this way. I do have plans for updating the free version regularly with the paid, but those things take time for one man and of course more content. Thanks for your feedback and kind words!
I do not like monthly paymends, but when the map is finischt, I want to pay for the map, maybe you should sell it also on Kofie?
I would like to make a very important suggestion, you can delete some trees on the highway appropriately, my computer is 3050, but the rendering will have a continuous stutter.
