So I've done alot of beamng drive modding and every time i reach around 750 mods things break in a particular set of ways textures end up on the wrong parts of vehicles and the ai stops working as intended, I'm wondering is this the result of some sort of overflow and is there a way to bypass this limit as i keep hitting it for the last decade or however long beamng drive modding has been a thing and its kind of bothersome starting over and these days i have some payed mods which are a little tricky to get again if i remove them. My current plan is to see if disabling enough mods then clearing the cache clears up the issue in which case i could do the intelligent thing and only enable x amount of mods at a time.

There's no coded limit to the amount of mods. The actual limit is your pc. The more you have mods, the more the game will be slow and will have higher chances to break.
BeamNG devs recommend to not having more than 30 mods. I personally have 150 and my game is already struggling. (That's because I have low-end specs, but someone else may not have any issues with 2000 mods.)
The texture issues you talk about may come from outdated/broken mods. Even if you have only one mod on your game, if it don't use correctly the game's textures, it'll break the game anyway.

Texture issues from mods dont happen like this the ones from broken mods either make them disappear or throw no texture errors, also ive gone back and forth beyond and before the limit switching out different mods to the same result doesnt matter what mod, as for hardware it happened 8 years ago on my old lappy that could barely run beam in the first place at the same exact point vs now 3 builds later and every build experiencing the same limit and i am now on a ryzen 9 5900x and an rtx 4070 i dont think the pc is the limit or the limit exists to beyond this spec of pc yet still exists at the same point for lower spec cards i have also notice the moved textures sometimes occur on a different base game car if you clear cache and restart the game so its a strange one for sure

There's no hardcoded limit to it, your storage is the limit
