I don't remember when was the last time I had so much fun just driving around and discovering the map.
I had absolutely no problems whatsoever running the map on my old Pc (16gb Ram/1660ti). And i just experienced long loading times the first time i started the map.
If Homerange starts for the first time, all objects have to be compiled (cdae). Once it is done it loads way faster.
Wow, Barbent calls this Alpha, but man I wish all the maps in Alpha where this good already, 10 Beamng versions back I played American Road a lot, because of its size, this is also huge, and much more beautifull of coarse, I can't wait until it is completely fisished, This will one of my maps that I gonna play a lot, that's for shure. And Barbent put 1,5 year in this map already, so give him a donation, becasue without people like him, we do not get such beautifull maps, and to play in, accept the standard maps.
I know that sometimes when you first load a big map, if it's very laggy, load it a second time and you'll get a better framerate. Don't ask me why, I don't know.

Yes, the first time, the forrest items are loading a pretty long time, thats normal, especialy for such a huge map, after that it will go much faster. On my system it runs great, 100+ fps, including 4 AI cars, a trailer and a car on the trailer. Great job Barbent.
No the 32 GB ram is more then enough, the 6 GB Vram is maybe a problem, I do not know what relolution you are playing, I gues Full HD, but the amount of mods you have installed could be a problem. move a couple of mods out of the mod folder, and try it again, and do not use the vulcan mode, on my pc mods do sometime crash on the vulcan mode, the normal mode always works fine. Ok I was to late hahahaha.
Works fine on My old pc with only 12GB DDR3 RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650Ti 2GB Intel Core I7 920 Only thing, that is crashed here is this D-series
Man this map is epic, the level of detail. The DEV's should just add this map as a Game Default. And then they can remove all the other maps.
Yes. Some. But this map is more to explore and the landscape will offer you the mission you have in mind. Just do it. I don't like a game interrupting task plan that much. There will be much more, what the map offers directly, like an automatic drag race: Place your car, see the lights, start and you'll get your time regardless what you were doing before. Also the (3) asphalt uphill passages will have their own stop-timers and so on. I also have the idea to build sth. like a phone call system (like in Test Drive), where you get called (e.g. by a friend) with some ideas what to do next (maybe visit him). This all and also my decisions about that are very coars for now. So I let it open. There are plenty of ideas .
My PC is a bit low spec to run it smoothly. Ryzen 5 3600 16GB RAM 1060GTX But otherwise it's great. Load of dirt roads, twisty turns. Elevation changes, and points of interests.
