this is the most realistic experience to have with the jalopy theres another creator who gos by the name Camubish he ported the white forest level and the jalopy but yours is wayyy better
when i try driving the junker the engine overheats and breaks after a few minutes. is there any way to stop this? other than this issue its is a great mod
please just add some doors and a hood, thats all i ask for at least --- Post updated --- please just add some doors and a hood thats all i ask for. and maybe just maybe add the turbo to the jalopy if thats not to much to ask
So i'm almost ready to update the mod, most of the issues u guys adressed are already fixed, and even more, i've also tweaked some things and added some extras. Now i'm reworking the steering jbeams, as it seems to be giving a lot of issues, i'll update the file once i finish that Making an automatic transmission would require modeling another center console and all that, so is not gonna happen by now... you can always turn on the manual assistance of BeamNG so the game handles the gears for you That's not on me, it's BeamNG's fault this is fixed in next update that wouldn't fit, the junker is what it is i think it's not possible to do this cos the way BeamNG navigator modules are made, but i'll take a look at it for sure
I just checked out that map and it looks very cool. You are so correct, @Sopze Jalopy is much better.
ok my bad i misclicked and removed the file xd, i't's back now, sry BTW i've sent a better (final) version (with fixes + additions + tweaks) to the repository, but it's waiting the approval proccess now
nothing of this mod is made by valve... they can only own the conceptual idea of this vehicle, they did not modeled, textured nor jbeamed anything included in the mod files
Absolutely LOVE this mod! The General Lee variant is amazing. The "Dirty Mary, crazy Larry" skin is next level genius!
https://gamebanana.com/wips/83673 you should add this in with this mod too because why not like a reconstructed version configuration
based on your words i don't think you know how modding in this game works, so i'll explain my point a little: you can't just "add something in" as in HL2 and expect it to work. It would require modeling and texturing all those parts from scratch with way better quality than that mod does, also making their shape realistic outside and inside, which that mod does not, then setup all those new parts' physics structure (Jbeams) and also add new detail parts that give "sense" to those new parts, as in this game "magically/ilogically attached parts" broke the whole thing feel, how is the bonnet / roof / wings attached to the body? the Junker has not a real 69' charger body frame to attach those parts to, so it would require to re-invent some supports (and also model+texture+jbeam them all) don't get me wrong, im not trying to be an ass, but you're not the first one asking for 'a lot of work more' like if it was nothing... this mod costs 0$, so i can only work on it on my -very little- free time, and call me weirdo but i like to spend my free time making what i want, no what im asked for... i'm currently modeling another car and fixing/tweaking the issues on this one for a future update lol that's a lot of text...
