First off Finn, I must say this is an awesome mod. It both captures the feeling of a Lexus LS/Toyota Celsior, but also is somehow its own separate thing, and i'm loving the little touches from 90's Toyota Crowns mixed in with is all. Where I live something like 70% of all cars registered are used Japanese market cars, and so I've noted a few things that might be worth updating if it might be something that was overlooked rather then a conscious decision. - Generally on JDM cars not only will they be limited in speed to 111mph/180kph but the speedo with literally stop at 180khm (as shown below on a JDM '96 Celsior for sale near me), currently it seems to use the same KPH gauges as a european car which might be for lore reasons you have, but generally JDM cars won't bother having MPH in a smaller font like you do the reverse in the UK as the cars were never designed with the idea that that could ever go somewhere using MPH easily. - Parking poles! Theres not much more that shouts JDM then a front parking pole, I've even bothered to go to scrap yards to get them to install in my own cars! Currently the ones you have look perfect, but generally you only have one on the offside of the car so that its easier to see where the corner is when parking. Also depending on the class of car, for something as upper class as yours generally form the mid-80s you'd expect it to be motorized either on a switch, or when you turn the car on so as the keep the car looking sleek (remember for us they're cool and JDM, but in Japan its generally a sign you're not great at parking!). I had a 1991 Subaru Legacy which had a parking pole correct for the time period and that would auto extend when the headlights turned on, or via a switch. Attached is an example switch from a Celsior showing the Auto option. This however might be rather hard to accomplish (though you've done a amazing job with the radio antenna) so would it be possible at the least to enable which side the pole was on rather then having either neither or both! Keep up the good work, you and Theo are doing an awesome job!
I love this mod! its very detailed im giving it a 9/10... but the configs lack variety.. hopefully there will be a police config in the next update
Hi guys! I think I've caught up on the thread- thanks for all of the bug reports and kind words. I'll look into all of them and make sure that the next update addresses as many as possible. There is currently a 1.0.1 update out which fixes the tire and wheel bugs that half of the people who have the mod seem to have.
so uhhh for me the wheels are no texture (i restarted the game, disabled all of my mods etc. and it still didnt work) any ideas pls?
Update your Avior to 1.0.1. --- Post updated --- This is a BeamNG alpha layering problem. It's the same reason you can see the glass on a car above water.
Here are a few bugs I found (which haven't been mentioned yet): - Automatic transmission logic seems to be a bit weird. If I set cruise control to ~74kmh, it constantly changes between 4th and 2th gear. Same thing happens with 2nd and 3rd at around 45kmh. Also when slowing down from high speed and the revs drop low (using 4th gear), it changes straight to 2nd instead of 3rd. - 6-speed manual shifter animation is wrong. - Air suspension seems to be slightly choppy. Coilovers feel more comfortable, which probably isn't intended. Otherwise I don't have anything to complain about, it's easily one of the highest quality vehicles in Beamng.
To everyone still having troubles with the mod even after updating it, please use my guide in Page 8.
I do it like that all the time I didn't even know there was a different way to download it (it still doesn't work for me)
Hi Finn, playing around with the mod rn and I'm loving it! Are rollable windows planned for the future? It's the first thing that hit me when I saw that the doors were frameless, haha. --- Post updated --- Right, that's why the dynamic sound muffling mod wasn't working.
INSANE how good this mod is, everything from the VIN plate, to how to top up the coolant is there, also having UKDM parts is super nice lol my only suggestions for how to make it even better would be - more tyre options, the tyres that are on the wheels are AMAZING and modelled very very well, but id like to see more options - more touch interactivity, working windows something that is on the ccf/vela or making the sunvisor flip down with a toggle, i assume its not here due to some limitation/optimization, but would be nice to see if possible - sound changes when doors/windows are open, another thing found on the ccf/vela, also assume its not on this mod due to the same reason(s) - ''better'' infotainment system, having the system either be laggy like on older systems of the time, or having the same touch functionality as on the ccf/vela would be nice - maybe more configs that have references to irl media such as the topgear ''rozzers'' LS400 in the police car challenge would be fun even so these are GRASPING at straws if anything lol, 2 of them could be solved with people making mods for the car, and all of them are pretty unnecessary just top work as always cheeky photo dump
