That's a Gentry...but anyway, after this update is out, I'm taking a bit of a time off with the mod. 27 configs I think it's more than ok... The amount of parts the mod offers (especially after 4.0) is quite comprehensive, I guess you're talking about things non-OEM, and it's not my focus at least for the time being.
And...here we go. 4.0 is finally ready for download. (MAIN POST JUST GOT UPDATED) It has been a nightmare for me since it took a lot of time and work to get details right, and of course, same foundations as always remain, so expect the best version of the mod in every single aspect so far...but please don't expect dev-levels, I did my best, but it might not be for some, so sorry, but that's all I can offer regarding quality and techniques. Hopefully this massive 300 page-long changelog shows how much I tried to get things right: Added new configs: Green (with unique interior and upholstery) GTX (with unique exterior parts and engine) Added internal structure to the trunk and doors This way, if the panels are removed, what's supposed to be behind is, well, there The door trigger boxes have been modified so you can only open the door from inside if the door panel is in, since when removed, the handle disappears too The rear wiper motor has been modelled too, and if you remove the wiper, the motor disappears with it too of course This also means the tailgate interior panel is removable now (is now also not standard in the XAD and XE) Added a new dash buttons system There is now a main slot for them with 3 or 5 buttons Every button for each position is fully customizable based on real options (A blank is offered for all of them) Trigger boxes checked and fixed to ensure they are located where they should Colors of each button have been checked for better accuracy as well New buttons include: Front foglights (They just activate all foglights like the rear foglights one, since I cannot figure how to separate them...) Heated seats A/C (With a snow symbol, besides the already present one with just text on it) Tolman Edition specific buttons Added new rear seatbelts for all colors/variants Old ones were not accurate so they have been remade using real ones as reference Old ones are still available as selectable parts in case someone fancies them Added new Top Gauges for all non-GTI models Main difference is they are not backlighted, so when lights are on, a texture simulating bulbs shining into the gauges is used instead Added rear bumper reflectors Standard in all pre-1990 models, since no rear foglights should be present instead Available on both left and right sides Added rear glass banners: France: '205.Un sacré numéro' (Standard on the Green) France: 'Champion du monde des rallyes 1985 et 1986' (Optional) Spain: 'Peugeot 205 - Contigo hasta el fin del mundo' (Standard on spanish cars) Added windshield sticker 'Moteur Chaud' Standard on french carburated versions Added more RHD parts Includes a XA RHD interior, missing steering wheels, and RHD power window controls among others Slots revised to try to limit as much as possible being able to fit LHD parts in RHD interiors and the other way round Added screws to all tailights Very simple looking, but better than nothing as before... Added new premium door card handles for high-end versions All versions have been checked to ensure proper handles are fit to each one Added supletory front lights They are simply foglights that just turn on with the highbeams instead of being a separate light Available both in white and yellow light colors Standard in the versions that should have them (foglights are installed, but no front foglight button is present in the interior) Added specific floormats to the Griffe Added a dark grey rear spoiler Standard on cars that should have it Added light regulator knob Located under the steering wheel, Standard on cars with retroiluminated top gauges Added roof handle covers for all needs No rear handles, or no front handles as well Added antenna delete covers Standard on the lesser trims that don't have an antenna Added optional parts in more colors that don't work with the interior skin system Includes trunk floor covers, some trunk plastics, and the starter button and closed central vents in the dash Added new bumpers (standard on selected configs) Rear base bumper (fully painted) Rear base bumper (half painted) Added closed glovebox with no keyhole Standard on selected configs Added side mirrors with no internal controls Standard on selected configs Added tinted windows to all pre-1990 configs Added normal maps to the handbrake Added holes to the rear seatbelt buckles XAD version is now RHD, being a popular trim in the UK La Poste config remains as a separate config from the XAD RHD XAD includes the internal partition and rear quarter window cover as standard, the La Poste doesn't. Remade seat textures for lower trims XR, XRD and XT, with brand new HQ sources, avoiding the previous blurry/pixelated ones Remade sliding panoramic roof for increased accuracy Exterior has been remade from the ground up (actual ground up, not Forza Motorsport 'ground up') Interior is way more accurate too, with lowered sections, cutouts for the roof handles, all components are now present, and the rails and cover are modelled now too Cover offered in opened position, and glass in closed position only Glass also includes the specific texture it has in real life, with blacked-out sections Added a version with exterior white plastics, standard on Lacoste and Green trims Remade the base gauges cluster Way more accurate than before, using a real life part as reference Still not 100% accurate or...super-high quality, but way better than before Embedded texture near the steering wheel has been fixed too Remade RHD base speedometer Old one was inaccurate and didn't even fit in its place Remade front bumper grill options logic Clearer names so you know exactly what you are choosing from Adds one more (Sport bumper grill, with no foglight grill covers, and fully plastic.) Remade interior mirror support for an accurate look For both LHD and RHD options Also fixed some shading issues and texture scaling issues previously present on them Remade base door card handles Improved HVAC controls Added specific A/C HVAC symbols (the whole panel changes when the car has A/C or not) Above means the whole HVAC panel is now selectable to choose the version you want (A/C, non-A/C) Added translucid orange dot within each knob, that can light up All HVAC symbols light up as well too now (in a very subtle way) Improved steering wheel logic Reduced the amount of unique wheels by just offering one top wheel, common for most mid-high versions Ridges and central logo can be choosen individually As for the ridges, you can select a smooth look without them, or having them in a couple of different colors to fit the color of the wheel Improved Roland Garros config: Added new specific floormats Added missing rear ashtrays Added new quarter glass and panoramic roof plastic covers in light grey Added carpeted trunk Changed several colors and textures both inside and out the car Changed lights to pre-1990 units Changed the door cards 3d model Front foglights now act as supletory lights Many, many other small changes Improved Tolman config: Changed to RHD with a real UK plate Improved upholstery texture with a brand new source Added a new Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB radio unit, mounted as standard Fixed center console plate not having 'Tolman' colored in red Improved colors: Added metallic flake effect to Vert Flourite and Miami Blue Fixed Vert Fluorite being too blue-ish Fixed Express yellow shade and hue in both body and rims Improved the optional MOMO steering wheel for a more accurate look (thanks to joseluisrc_19) Fixed the Peugeot logo as well Improved moulded carpet floormat texture and quality, and added more real life colors Improved the color for the pre-1990 front indicators Improved the general look of the post-1990 tailight indicators Improved the 'dots' quality in the closed central vents Improved the 'dots' quality in the dash ashtray (these are now 3D instead of a texture to reduce the amount of extra parts) Changed the color of certain configs, both inside and out Some existing colors, such as blue interiors have been tweaked for better looks Fixed trunk interior light Used to be 'camouflaged' since it shared the same texture as the rest of the trunk Now has the proper real life-sourced texture and look Removed from the right side, just remains in the left Can be removed all together, as standard in versions that didn't had it at all Fixed independent sport rear seats They now all have a better shape, closer to reality Added missing division in the rear (visible from the trunk) Fixed seats (general fixes): Fixed seat height regulators being the wrong color Fixed rivet textures not having an alpha setting selected Fixed small hole in every high end seat (lower front area) Fixed stitching being invisible in the inner lower part of the front seats Fixed gentry front seat lower plastics being black instead of beige Fixed seat rails being silver metal instead of black metal Fixed 1.9 GTI seats Used to be just called Tolman Edition, but they are used by the 1.9 GTI too so they have been renamed to reflect that Main material is now dark leather Fixed central upholstery textured, which used to be mirrored and had a central red line way too wide Fixed broken loads system Now uses the current system as found in standard BeamNG cars, to ensure it works in the campaign now too Loads are available in the passenger seat rear seats and trunk Front seat cargo also adapts to the shape of the seat (sport ones have a different shape) LHD/RHD loads are separate depending on the car, so the cargo can only go to the front passenger seat no matter the side is in XAD have a unique special extra large load that takes advantage of the larger cargo volume Fixed top GTI gauges with more accurate lights and look overall Also fixed incorrect needles being used on them Changed Jaeger to Veglia Added metric units to LHD gauges Fixed several specific small issues to all other configs such as... Installing the partition in a RHD car would result in a jbeam failure when opening the right door, trigerring massive damage in the zone. One single letter change in the partition jbeam fixed it. This has got to be one of the biggest "Fix updates" to ever be seen on this forum lol. Thanks for doing all this
Thank you so much for all the work and details you've put into the mod. It's one of the greatest mods out there and one of my favorites.
Now this is my favourite mod of all, thank you for the work and for still with the same realistic deformation almost all car mods are ''too strong'' compared to real life or the age, even vanilla cars.
Thank you everyone! BTW, just published a tiny hotfix...somehow after all these weeks, managed to break something in the last second, since after I packed the last .pc file changes into the zip before uploading it, I wasn't aware I took the automatic thumbnails as well, so the car selection menu looked awful with a mix of proper pics and gridmap ones, so I just added the missing proper thumbs into it.
what the heck is this Kind of Changelog? there's more impovements and fixes than my own life actually needs (although it's a pure mess atm) Thx a lot for your work, Jorge
Glad to hear these words from everybody And well...guess what. Yet another hotfix is out. I was pointed to a missing texture which made the rear XTD seats having no texture...and somehow they were always working as intended on my end no matter what, so I couldn't notice it, but hey, it's fixed now.
First of all, thank you, but this has been explained several times before, even if I wanted, it's a legal and ethical/moral mess...the original 3D source is copyrighted, both the model itself and of course the brand, which I don't hold any permission to use, I know certain 'modders' (scammers I would say...and let's not forget my Defender has been stolen by one of these -REDACTED-) do this and seem to walk scott free every time, but I'm not risking it no matter the scenario. And of course, yet another big reason...many, many people have helped with the mod, in many specific and crucial areas, so even without legal issues, any money coming from the mod should be shared in some way with them. And finally...even with hours and hours of work behind the mods I do, I've always stated that trey are far from not only dev-level, but from a high-degree of standards that you can find in most great mods, even some free ones. The LOD I used is way too detailed, which is not good for a game like BeamNG, and everything I made, all the way from the jbeams, textures, 3D models...are full of shortcomings to compensate my lack of skill, so the mod running, looking and crashing as it does right now is nothing short of a miracle, since at more than one point I didn't even knew what I was doing... And finally, I would love to earn extra income by doing something I like, why not, but because of these reasons, and considering I'm finally out of the dark hole I was just a months ago, when I was forced to ask for actual money by donations, just in case I didn't make it...I can happily say I don't need it, that would be in fact the very first reason. Of course, more money doesn't hurt, but again, it's not really needed at this moment, which is quite the relief, to say the least.
Can confirm, the wrong wheels were mounted...just got fixed, please redownload From now, unless it's something quite noticeable, I'll save bug fixes for a more complete hotfix later, so I don't have to ask for redonwloads every day... --- Post updated --- Also fixed something else...the incorrect materials just below the headlights that ruined the look and somehow were never noticed before. Now it looks way much better!
