Yeah I personally don't think it's worth it but it shouldn't be too hard to do as a first UI app. If you do it and get to the point where it works with test values let me know and I'll help you link it to the actual data.
Hey, I changed the value in the code, alongside updating the mod to the newest 1.17.5 version, and that seems to have worked, but now I'm having another issue. Upon trying the racing events in freeroam, I click on it to race, only to give me a nil value, not allowing me to race. There was another time where it wouldn't even let me click 'Race'. Also, side note, how exactly do I attach a log file to my issue on github?
There's a button to attach files to your issue on the bottom left of the text area. But before you try anything else, if you're still using the old career files since there's been updates after your previous post you should try a career reset and see if that fixes the issue. If it does then your current career files are corrupted probably because of the previous problem you had. If it doesn't fix the issue then I'm not sure what might cause the nil issue in race clubs, you can create the issue on github and attach your whole beamLR folder + log files archived in a zip so I can take a look.
Hey r3eckon have you already finished race AI on Valocity? I looked through the chats on this forum and have you figured out how to create the race bystanders? I might have an idea regarding that.
Yeah I did, the map is actually released as an addon. I gave up on having race bystanders because it wasn't that important, just for a throwback to SLRR. But if you have an idea feel free to share.
All the other listed maps should work, maybe some other mods are conflicting or you just need to reinstall BeamLR
Would it be possible to take advantage of the simplified traffic? Because i there are tuned variants of some cars like the bx and the pessima, So would it be possible to make one large .obj with the cars and give them atributes like invisibility and their hitboxes being activeted during certan times or at race start.
Hi, I played BeamLR before, but I am not able to run the game smoothly right now with it. When I play BeamMP, there is less lag, but with BeamLR i get ''warping lags'' all the time. Is this mod known to be hard to run? Is it because of traffic? It seems to be fine in Utah map, but in Italy and West Coast, I get lags which are followed by sped up gameplay for like 1 second. Simplified traffic is on in my settings. Beamng says that the bottleneck is CPU/ game engine most of the time, I tried reducing the graphics but the difference is minor unless I put everything at minimum, which is an eyesore. I've tried to fix this issue for days just because I really like BeamLR. Any help would be appreciated. My specs: Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor RAM: 16.0 GB GPU: RTX 2060 SUPER 8GB SSD: TEAM T253X2001T SCREEN: Sharp 60'' 4K TV
I don't plan to add it, this is mainly a racing focused mod and I don't plan on adding more delivery types which would be needed for the T series to have a purpose. I don't know what could cause it, for one thing I can't read anything in the graphs from the video you posted. But my specs are lower than yours (except for 32GB of 3200MHz RAM) and I don't get those so I highly doubt the mod itself is to blame. On West Coast I get like 30 to 40 FPS but that's mostly because my GPU is trash. A mid tier gaming PC should be fine for this mod. The only thing I can think of would be RAM. 16GB is quite low nowadays. Especially considering that BeamNG itself uses around 5GB and with the mod on light traffic on west coast I get 6.6 GB usage. Now I do have chrome open so that takes like an extra 2GB, with background processes and just the RAM usage of windows itself I get a total RAM usage of 20GB. Even ignoring chrome and background processes it would probably be a bit over 16 GB. Utah uses less RAM than West Coast so if you're already close to the limit by running West Coast alone, adding traffic is probably enough to get you to the point where it needs to use swap which will cause a drop in performance. So first thing you should do is try turning off traffic. If that fixes it then RAM is probably the issue. It's not 100% certain because traffic also uses quite a bit of CPU. You also didn't post the speed of your RAM so I don't know how fast it should be but make sure you have the XMP profile turned on in BIOS. Ryzen performance is very dependent on RAM speed, you can essentially bottleneck your CPU if the RAM isn't running fast enough. Other than that all I can do is give you generic advice. Could be hardware specific issues. Turn off dynamic reflections as they personally kill my FPS. Look at task manager while playing and see if the frequency of your CPU jumps up and down while you play, sometimes the "automatic" clock management will slow down your CPU when it perceives a low enough load which can cause a slow down, then it speeds the CPU back up to pick up the increased load and FPS goes up. This could be either due to the motherboard/BIOS or windows power plan. Make sure windows power plan is on high performance. Make sure your BIOS is up to date. Also I think I can see the frequency of your CPU is below 4GHz though it's so blurry I could be wrong but I think this chip runs at like 3.6GHz by default which is quite low for games. I have a static OC on my 2700X at 4.1 GHz which is stable, now this isn't the same for all chips+mobo+cooling setups but you should be able to get similar all core clock speeds on yours. If you're on stock cooler you probably won't be able to but if you know how to do it (don't blame me if you mess it up) try a static OC so the frequency isn't jumping.
I’ve reinstalled the mod three times, but I still can’t work on the vehicle. The installed parts don’t show up, and while I can buy new parts, I can’t install them or see which ones are already on the car. I’ve tried going to the parts shop, home, and garage, but nothing works. https://gyazo.com/8efa539fe73eca0888de387dc82a3c8f https://gyazo.com/fd110322c7a8238a5b53decb5cd48fd6 https://gyazo.com/b697ee6e4e0fb7ef581601288239fa55
why is it when i upgrade parts on cars the car wont drive anymore, even after going thru all parts to make sure there installed and nothing works
Usually for me if I upgrade the engine/trans I can't move the car until reinstalling the transfer case, final drive ratio, flywheel, diff, driveshaft, or halfshafts. Sometimes if one's missing (like the diff) the option for halfshafts/final drive don't show up until installing the root part.
That's how advanced building works. You can toggle systems off and on in the settings for an easier experience.
Hi, i'm trying to add custom configs for vanilla and modded cars to the existing pools in street_gold, street_silver, street_bronze etc.. the cars work fine and award as pink slips but the race ui itself is broken when it rolls a custom preset showing the wrong amount of laps and checkpoints for the specific race. Example being the race to the top of the shops in the canyon on Utah shows as 2 or 3 laps with 11 checkpoints when it's a 2 checkpoint sprint race. Another issue is adding presets to the used car dealer spawning cars with no engine or no front or rear suspension seemingly at random (this also happens with a vanilla BeamLR install with all mods disabled) the only errors i get for these are related to Engine audio because its missing the engine. Randslots don't seem to make a difference. The screenshot is the error i get when the races roll a custom preset.
