I lost all my mods due to BeamNG not letting me cahange my mods folder

Today I was trying to move my mods from my C: drive to my D: drive, because they took away a lot of space on my C: drive (about 33GB) and it was almost full. (this isn't the first time that I was unsuccessful with doing this) I tried many different techniques since the option to change the user's folder, when launching the game, didn't do anything. In the end, I ended up losing all my mods (about 170), partially due to my own stupidity of not making a backup save of my mods, but also due to BeamNG not helping you at all with finding a spot on the D: drive for your mods folder that actually works. I am extremely frustrated and since nobody can really help me at getting my mods back, the only thing I can ask for, is that the dev's actually make it possible to move your mods folder to your D: drive in a way that isn't impossible to find.

 

If you subscribed to your mods in the repo, you can recover them by downloading them again.
