Thanks! I'm flattered but one of the coolest things about doing this is that it's not part of a job, I've already worked some years in games development and is not as fun as it seems, in my opinion at least. I'd rather do my own stuff without deadlines or any kind of pressure. Good point! the floor needs more transversal edges for deformation. As for the front, I've been comparing with Gabester's models, and mine looks similar in polygon distribution:
Alrighty then carry on It is also wise to match the poly spacing across the rad support with whatever bumper and front fasica goes in front of it. For example if you have a rad support 3 divisions wide but a fascia with 5 across the same area, when crashing it will be harder to keep them from clipping through each other as they kink in different places. Better to do a 3 division wide rad support with a 3 or 6 division wide fascia (simplified example). Just a hint, not saying you're doing it wrong.
I can only join the others and tell you that it already looks awesome and that I can't wait to see it ingame. You really have some maaad talent! Your renders are beautiful btw.
JDM<3 Can't wait to try it out, looks sick mate. I hope you'll actually get to finish this, unlike the other 100's of attempts on the forums..
The only way this could be better is if it was a 3rd gen Prelude like my real car Absolutely stunning work.
Thanks, I know you're probably too busy with this project now, but it would be cool to see that from you, would be a nice addition next to mine Thanks, and don't worry, I'm not just another kid messing around with 3D. I don't get why there are many threads with interesting projects that get canned. Speaking of wich, the Nova will be released tomorrow Thanks for the tips, sure are helpful. It's hard to do the math of how's it going to deform, I can still add a couple more vertices if needed later on when it's on the game. Small progress with small parts. Sure take a lot of time to make them! they might seem simple but the trick is that, to keep it simple but yet make it look complicated. Also worked on the floor and started to get into the rear.
Nice car , and awesome renders ! just like real life ! Someone posts something like that on ROR forums and call him a sick freak . Someone post that on BNG forums and people thank him . Wierd ...
The fix to the floor looks great. You're blowing my mind with the wiring harness and relays :O I feel like I need to add more detail to the Corolla now
Then I'm pretty sure this might kill your brain cells then (and yeah, add more detail to it, why not?) Most of the mechanic work is done. It's only missing the shifter linkage but I'll take care of that once I have the interior setup. Tried to keep things as simple as possible, hard task to do when it's your own car and you know every nook and cranny. I don't even want to start thinking about the UV's on this thing, that's gonna take some careful planning. Anyway, next step is the interior.
Simply incredible. I think we're looking at another future Dev here guys. This is up there in quality with Mythbuster and B25Mitch. Anxiously awaiting future updates, man, congrats on an awesome mod.
